Dunn Communication Solutions

Job was completed perfectly. It took a little longer than expected but I was only charged for the lesser hours provided in the initial estimate.

This was a pleasant contrast to the services offered by the phone company. Mr. Dunn was friendly, helpful and prompt. He was able to get to us quickly and solved the problem right away. This prevented us from not having phone service for five days while we waited for the phone company.

Bottom line: Joe is very knowledgeable, very flexible, timely, polite and makes sure everything is correct before he leaves.
I originally reached out to Dunn Communications for just a phone repair.  Joe is very professional.  He called the day before coming out to verify nothing was changing on my side.  The day of the job, he was prompt, personable, and polite.  Joe went to work troubleshooting the problem.  I have a structured wiring cabinet and it was evident he knew what he was doing; he figure out how it was wired and tracked down the issue.  He got the phone working but was admit about verifying ALL phone drops even though he just restore dial tone to the top of the punch down block.  He discovered that several wall jacks were miswired and he fixed them also.  He called later to make sure things were still working after the repair.
Based on the great work, I asked he to install some additional data drops in the family room to get off of the wireless signal which wasn't always reliable - Hi-Def streaming would pause.  Joe returned for the 2nd job with a co-worker.  Routing the Cat5 downstairs was harder than expected; originally it appeared the existing wiring could be used to pull the new drops into the wall.  He tried several times to met my desire but we ended up using another wall.  After the wiring was in place, he performed complete testing using a lan tester (dial tone, shorts, signal quality, distance) on both drops.  After the lines were proven to be good, again he insisted that I tested connectivity with my equipment - it worked flawlessly.  They revisited every room they were in and made sure it was cleaned up and they moved all the furniture back.  Joe didn't change the price for the job even though it was more difficult.
If I need additional telephone/data work, I'll call Dunn Communications

They did a fantastic job.

J. Dunn did excellent job of checking all wiring and outlets - then making proper repairs.
He then checked and double-checked restored service, plus calling back several times days later to ensure service was functional.

They recommended, based on our use of the system, to replace several handsets at a minimal cost instead of installing a more modern/expensive system

The communication distribution center in our new home was a chaotic mess, with none of the wires or cables identified for which rooms they serviced. I'd had others come out and try to get our communications up and running, but still had problems with incomplete connectivity; the others had no interest in coming back out into the Hill Country to troubleshoot the problems.
Joe Dunn on the other hand, had no problem coming to our location 30 miles outside of San Antonio. He promptly put us on his schedule; called the day before to confirm; and called as they were on their way out. Upon arriving, they quickly set to work; tested the wires and labeled them; troubleshot a couple of lines that weren't allowing internet or phone connectivity and fixed them. They also enabled internet and phone service in a couple of rooms that didn't have it yet.
They were friendly; professional, and did the work quickly for a fair price.
I will recommend them to my neighbors, and I will use them again if I ever need data line work done in the future!

Arrived on time (early, even!). Checked out the closet of phone wires and dismantled the unwanted box, reconnecting the phones and cables without using the complicated office phone system.
