Double J Paving

Double J was an exceptional company. We added a slap for a swim spa, shed and a walkway. They provided quick service and paid attention to detail. Great customer service at a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone.

This company started out great came by did a great estimate, very friendly. It went down from there. The day the project was suppose to start they did not show. Hours later they got back to us letting us know they had a flat tire and would be out the next day, ok understandable. The next day they tore out the old concrete from our driveway and left it on our yard as well as our neighbors yard. They left, did not mention they were done for the day. When we got ahold of the supervisor he said the truck had a flat tire and they would be by the next day to move the concrete and their bobcat. Three days later they showed up to clean up the concrete. This day they set up to pour the new concrete for the driveway, walkway, and pad. They used warped boards, alignment was uneven, and it was not to the agreed depth in places. We brought this up, they said they would fix it, but instead just poured the concrete. The next day there was all sorts of cracks, uneven concrete, spots that were much lower or higher than where they should have been. It is also lower in the center so we get standing water. Also not the depth. The supervisor came out stated it looked even, and agreed there were some mistakes and he actually used tools to measure and then agreed it needed to be corrected. The corrections fixed a few things but were still terrible. When they went to make the corrections we pointed out where we could see new problems or what was not fixed. They did not fix it, just pour new concrete on top, making new problems. Besides the job being a mess they left my yard and my neighbors yard a mess, broke water covers, lights in my garage, and ruined belongs in my garage. We asked if they would be ok with this work at their home and they stated no, but they had no problem leaving our house with crappy work. It is going to cost me alot to fix my yard from the damage they did.

They were early, explained the whole process, asked if I had questions, did a wonderful job, cleaned up and stuck to the time line from the original quote. Great response time, very friendly. Met on a Sunday for an estimate, and secured the work the same day. Got the job done in a very quick time frame, and communicated along the process of any hiccups. Will be using Double J again in the future. Thanks to them for my new driveway and parking area.

The bid was slightly more than two other estimates we got however it included a good warranty. The crew did excellent work and left the area clean before they left. We are very satisfied. Our old long curved driveway is good as new again.

Joseph was awesome. Out here in the Hill Country, it is common that companies won't show up on time if at all. Joseph came out to do the estimate exactly as he said. Answered all my questions and concerns about the process. He was very professional and knowledgeable. When I asked when and what time they would start, Joseph said Tuesday about 8 o'clock. Tuesday morning at 8:01 he had a crew of 7 with all the equipment. That is almost unheard of out in the Hill Country. All of the workers were very friendly and seem to enjoy doing the work for me, The foreman went out of his way to explain the different processes as they were doing the job. The cleanup was to the point that you would never have know they were here except for a beautiful new driveway. Thank you Joseph and crew. Garner

They did not come on a day they said they would. Did not call to let me know they were not coming. My small paving area ended up with holes filled with gravel not pavement. I have been unable to reach them to find out if they are going to correct these **holes**. They do not answer either phone and their mailbox is full. Very disappointed.

Great customer service and showed up on time without hesitation for initial estimate even though I had previously had to reschedule. In less than 24 hrs later the repairs I needed in the parking lot had already been completed. I am very happy with the quality of the work performed along with the fore thought given to an area that tended to puddle up and sit by the handicap ramp. Their repair included a slope design to help divert water from puddling and alleviating that problem in the future. Overall I am greatly satisfied and will continue to use them for future projected work.

Good price, Good people. Very responsive and professional. I had been working with another company who was going to provide me with recycled asphalt. Double J was thankfully persistent and kept reaching out to me to see if they could provide me with a quote to provide "virgin"/hot mix/new pavement (I think they can provide recycled as well). After waiting for a week for a final quote and my road base work completed, I told Joseph to come on out and give me a quote. I wasn't very hopeful. Other hot mix quotes I had received were approximately 40% higher than the initial estimate for recycled asphalt. Alex showed up on time the following morning and I had an estimate before he left. While new paving was still more expensive than recycled, Double J's price was only about 20% higher and I thought that was worth paying more. Can't say it's always like this but I received a final written quote later that night, clarified a couple details with them and they were on site working the following business day. The Double J crew was very professional, efficient and courteous. They answered all my stupid questions and provided me with guidance on future suggested maintenance and their warrantee coverage. I am very happy and very relieved to finally have a road in place that isn't going to wash out every time we have some hard rain. Great job Double J!

They were there on time and were finished on time. The area paved loos great.

DoubleJ did the work after hours or on the days we were closed, so there was NO downtime for our busy Spay Neuter Clinic. They made suggestions to improve the project but not increase the cost. I will hire this team for other projects, and I am highly recommending this company to my friends and fellow business associates.
