As always, we had a great experience with Yvonne Cisneros. Yvonne had trained our Vizsla several months ago and we wanted her to board Maisy. We know she knows Maisy's behavior and we know that Maisy likes her.
Yvonee picked Maisy up on a Friday and kept her until Tuesday. Yvonne always answers quickly when we write to check up on Maisy AND she even sends pictures of Maisy and her new dog friends.
She has playtime at least 3 times a day with other dogs and gets the run of the yard and the dog room.
Maisy came back freshly washed and happy.
We could not ask for a better person or situation.
Yvonne is someone that allows you to leave your pet and feel secure that your dog is well taken care of and having fun.
Yvonne provides pick up and drop off.
Our dog is an extremely active young Vizsla and we needed all the help we could get. She is very energetic and is so strong that it was hard for me to walk her and live with her in my house with my two older dogs. We wanted to keep her so we called on Yvonne Cisneros for help.
Yvonne is great. She has a very calm demeanor and really helped us out a lot with Maisy's behavior and energy level.
We boarded Maisy with Yvonne for about 3 weeks and she trained her in all the basic commands. When she returned she would heel, sit , down and stay. I can now walk her without any difficulty which is very important as she needs all of the exercise she can get.
When Maisy was returned to us Yvonne took the time to really work with us on all her commands and make sure we were doing things correctly.. She followed up the next week and helped me with any problems I was having. She has also been available if I need to talk.
Maisy will always be a high energy dog but with Yvonne's help, we can now enjoy her. She is a very sweet and loving dog but really needs a lot of redirection. She has retained much of her training and we love her very much. Thanks to Yvonne we have been able to keep and enjoy her. I would recommend Yvonne to anyone.
I adopted two mixed breed dogs in Oct (dachshound/Chihuahua mix). They were wonderful except around ANY one else: they would bark at all my company, nip at them, and generally be a nuisance. I contracted with Yvonne for 6 lessons. By the second lesson my son and daughter-in-law saw a noticeable improvement. We've just finished our fifth lesson and one dog has already graduated. both dogs are properly leashed trained and obey verbal and hand commands. My family was here Sunday and you wouldn't even know I had dogs in the house with them. I am enjoying the dogs much more and my dogs LOVE our training sessions. With each session, Yvonne and I spent time together and we spent time with the dogs. She patiently stayed and worked with us until the dogs got the lesson right several times. Then it was up to us to practice. In the past 2 sessions she has brought dogs with her so that my dogs could get used to being around other dogs.
She contacted me if she would be late (which was rare).
My son's summary: "I don't know what you paid Yvonne but it was worth it!"
I didn't include a price because Yvonne charges depending on how many sessions you want and the number of dogs you have.
By the way, she boards dogs too. I haven't used her yet but I plan to as I know my dogs won't lose any of their training by being away from home.
If you have a problem dog, Yvonne Cisneros is the person to call in San Antonio. She is outstanding.
Just to give you an idea of start to finish in our training: Our first training session it took my dog an hour and a half to calm down enough to be able to do anything with her. The second session, it took about 20 minutes. After that, it was usually a matter of minutes (2-3 min max). Yvonne came to our house once a week for at least an hour each time (usually more than an hour) to do our training sessions. We had homework to complete each week (daily practice). We just completed our 6th week of training (still have 2 more sessions to go) and I can say that our dog is a completely different dog. She had become alpha/leader of the house since day 1 because I had no previous experience with pit bulls/aggressive dogs and was fearful of her reactions. She now knows commands, walks in heel position and doesn't pull, no longer growls/lunges/barks at people or large trucks driving down the street. She also knows that she is no longer the leader of the house...I am. It's amazing! She still has some things to work on, but she has come so far! Yvonne has been bringing other dogs to the house during our training sessions and my dog is able to sit and stay (relaxed) within 2 feet of them. Unbelievable!
Yvonne is also extremely patient. I would get frustrated/impatient with my husband for making mistakes or doing things incorrectly during training sessions, but Yvonne was always very pleasant and patient with any corrections that needed to be made.
Behavioral training is an investment. We put it off for a long time (probably too long). However, one of my friends put it into perspective for me: Would you rather pay $600 for training, or thousands in a lawsuit (or worse, have to put your dog to sleep) if your dog were to get out and attack/bite someone?
I would highly recommend Yvonne for any training needs, as she is very knowledgeable and experienced in training. Our results have been remarkable. I was beginning to fear our only option was going to be to put our dog to sleep, but she has done extremely well with training and that thought is not even an option/consideration any longer. If you do decide to do training, I can't stress enough the importance of doing your daily homework/practice and being consistent. I honestly believe our results have come from consistency (which, I know, is not always the easiest thing when you view your dogs as your children/family members).
