Monica on the sales team was wonderful about quickly and thoroughly answering all our questions throughout the process. We were kept informed all along the way what the next steps were, how long that would take and what was needed from us. The field measurement team and installation team were prompt and efficient. They were there at the house within 15 minutes of the time they said they would be and had even let us know beforehand that they were running a few minutes late. I was asked to inspect everything before the install team left and was pleasantly surprised to find each room they worked in cleaner than what it had been prior to them arriving. Everything is gorgeous and I will definitely be using Delta Granite for any projects in the future.
we approved the layout to installation. Installation took only one day
and they did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone in the
future.
On the other side, I learned some lessons that i would like to share should you want to embark on a bathrrom granite upgrade. 1. Get it clear if you are paying by the sq. ft. or are buying the whole slab. Chance are that if the slab is not in the yard, you are going to buy the whole thing! Consider what you will do with the left overs.2. Before Delta (or anyone else) comes to make a template, you have to remove the old countertop and sink(s). This is a separate charge! Delta uses a sub-contractor for this...I'm not keen on them. I did one bathroom removal myself. It's not that hard, just heavy. Habitat for Humanity came a few days later and hauled off the old countertops. Remember you will be without a sink for a week or two.3. Granite companies do not re-install your plumbing...depending on the sink drain location, chances are you will have to modify/replace the whole p-trap assembly. Line up a plumber ahead of time if you don't have the skills or the time.4. If you have any anomolies in your wall a straight piece of granite is going to make them obvious. Heads up, granite companies do not caulk to your wall.
The install went well. Our only complaint was the lack of clean-up of epoxy that dropped on the tile floors or outside porch. The company happily sent out a team to cleanup the extra epoxy from the outdoor kitchen install. Otherwise the install was great and the teams were very nice and professional. Overall the countertops look beautiful and we are happy with the work. Their granite and marble selection is the best we saw in town.
