About us
Sean Davis has been creating elegant, vibrant gardens in the San Antonio area for the past 18 years. He is a native plant specialist who incorporates permaculture and Xeriscaping concepts into his designs. In order to bring his customers the highest quality, most water-efficient garden, he uses native and well adapted plants. He offers his customers options and helps troubleshoot anything from water flow issues to yellow lawn. He regularly replaces high input lawns with more efficient, drought tolerant species of plants, and/or stone. His flagstone work is creative and beautiful. He is an artist of the land who genuinely loves sharing his craft with others, and we believe everyone deserves a beautiful garden to wake up to.

I truly cannot say enough great things about Sean and his team! This is my second home that he has done work for and it just keeps getting better. My gardens are perfect! They are beautiful and whimsical. He built a new stunning fence and incorporated a beautiful live oak tree into this custom fence and gate. He added 6 distinct flowerbeds/gardens including one with a lime tree, herbs and peppers. He was incredibly easy to work with, kind, considerate, efficient and creative. I can’t wait to find more new gardening/landscaping projects!!

The project looked better than expected. The drought resistant plants and rocks recommended by Mr. Davis are outstanding. He was very knowledgeable about the plants and made helpful suggestions about what to do with my current plants and how to care for the ones chosen. I did some research before looking for a landscaper so I had an idea of what I was needing and what look we wanted. We wanted rocks with color. Mr. Davis suggested rocks with the copper and grey tones we were hoping for. We wanted a natural looking walkway and chose stones. We are very happy.

My tiny back yard is too shady for grass. Sean built a small, free-standing, cedar deck, and it's gorgeous. The work took about a week in July. Sturdy foundation, and all the wood rests on blocks, not on dirt. I love it, and it makes my back yard livable. Sean has done landscaping for me every year for at least five years, and I recommend him highly. He's coming back next week to give the plants a trim and a tune-up. My backyard had fallen into terrible shape from about 2 years of drought, dogs and neglect. And when it rains heavy, it floods since there is nowhere for th ewater to run to. Sean immediately had an idea for a rain-garden, utiizing some of the existing "landscape". A quarter of the yard was sodded for my dogs use/enjoyment. the rest was Xeriscaped with drought tolerant plants that ran around the edges of the new river/pond composed of river rock of varying sizes that will hold the water from heavy rains. Overall, i am very pleased with the outcome pf the project

Sean did a superb job landscaping our front and backyard. I wanted him to plant native Texas plants Including those that attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. He delivered spectacularly! He is very knowledgeable, had great suggestions, and was always willing to answer my questions. He and his crew worked hard and were meticulous with their work. I would highly recommend him!

He have a new rescue dog that likes to dig along the fence and recently dug into our neighbors yard. Sean installed hardware cloth along most of the perimeter and large river rock in other areas. He also replaced 3 dying shrubs with a small tree and added another larger tree with a rock border, along with a few other things. We use Sean regularly for fall and spring clean up, to plant fall annuals and for improvements to our existing landscape. In the past, he has also crafted a planting bed / arbor for some grapes we planted and a very sturdy stand for our rain barrel. He is very patient and his plant knowledge is extensive but if he doesn't know, he will research to find the answer. He's also very good regarding plant type and placement. We also like that he uses native plants and organic products. We have a few other projects in the works so we will definitely use him in the future.

Sean and his team did a great job laying sod in our backyard. He was knowledgable about local planting seasons and pros/cons of different grass types. He was flexible and easy to work with. We are very happy with how our yard turned out! Highly recommend.

This review is for work that was done about three years ago: (1). I had called Sean repeatedly to schedule an appointment. (2). When I finally booked him for an estimate, he was extremely late. (3). In the end, I paid $750 for three large containers and a couple small pots of poor quality roses (in colors that I did not request--I asked for red, these roses turned out to be a mix of light pink and orange) to be planted in a small to medium-sized flower bed.

It went great. He was on time, reliable, all the good stuff. Plus, as we talked, it became clear that we would need to install sprinklers before Sean proceeded with the landscaping work. So he even recommended a sprinkler guy to me - and advised me to wait until very late summer before adding the new trees and plants. I very much appreciate his not "going for the fast buck" but instead working with me on the best plan for our needs.

I knew that my lawn needed aeration and a top dressing, which Sean and his crew readily accomplished using a high-quality lawn dressing. However, I did not have a good idea about how to deal with a soil erosion problem around a large oak tree. Sean proposed a potential solution involving a river rock retention and drainage area and surrounding shade-tolerant plants. My wife and I were very pleased with the completed landscape. Sean was knowledgeable, skilled and professional. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with.

I have been in my home for 30yrs and NEVER knew how great my home would look with a knowledgeable landscaper. I learn more about soil and flowers from Sean then in my whole life. He knows what a good land scrape SHOULD be. EVERY landscaper needs to emulate SEAN! Took him only 2 days and he cleaned up after himself. What man does that anymore? If you don't call Sean to do your landscaping, you have missed out on Sean's expertise.

Spreading mulch was ok. He did not w eed flower beds or take up leaves first. He did not lay landscape fabric either. He just dumped piles of dirt, smoothed it, and planted. Of course grass is coming up all over. He refused to put down edging even though I got some for him. He left the metal strip up high instead of putting in deep so lawn mower can go over. Did not put plants where I wanted them. Did not water one side when hose was 7 feet away. I wanted row of esperanza and he did not do. Definitely would not rehire or recommend.

Sean is a wealth of knowledge! We had concerns about water drainage in our yard. He brought in dirt to grade the surface before putting in the grass and cleared out a pipe under our driveway to ensure proper drainage after the work was done. He created a rock path in front of our house with small rocks and larger pieces of flagstone that is wonderful. We had him cover our porch and sidewalk with flagstone, and it turned out beautifully. We are extremely happy with our results and have received many compliments on our yard. All of the work was done by Sean, his brother, and his wife. The attention to detail was impressive. He takes his time to do the job well, so if you are wanting a big company that will come in with a large crew and finish in a few days, you should probably look for someone else. It took about three weeks to finish our job, including weather delays and changes that we asked for along the way. Sean is very professional and takes pride in his work. We highly recommend him and would hire him again.
