I was so impressed by the good reviews by customers of T & D Appliance Repair Service on Angie's List that I called to have them look at my Sub Zero Refrigerator and Scotsman Ice Maker. Tony came the next day to look at the trouble and knew immediately what needed to be repaired. He called suppliers while at my house to see if they stocked the parts needed and was able to confirm he could make the repairs and the prices needed for the repairs. He came a few days later when he received the parts, did a fantastic, thorough job of the repairs. My appliances are working like new and I am thrilled. I depend on Angie's List for competent service companies, and I join the others who have used T and D Appliance Repair Service with glowing satisfaction.

Called another highly rated company from Angie's List who didn't work on small ice makers and they referred us to D&T. D&T Appliance Co. was outstanding. They diagnosed a difficult to find small leak that was melting the ice as soon as it was formed. Could have easily told us there was a significantly bigger problem. It took three visits because of ordering parts and poor original installation but they were very prompt, courteous and professional. The price charged was a deal especially considering what these ice makers cost to replace! The ice maker has been working like new ever since. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

He has already come 3 times and he does a good job. It was for the same price probably that we always have. He came in, he recognized the problem, came back the next day with the part and he put it in, and everything was okay. He always knows what he is doing. I never had any problem. As a matter of fact, I was very impressed. We called him back already 3 times. I got his name listed on my refrigerator.

We have a Sub-Zero vintage refrigerator (25+ years) and Tony has helped us maintain it for the past 8 years. He has lots of experience working on the brand and is undaunted by any new problem. The ice maker wasn't cutting off, and it required just a minor adjustment.
While Tony was here, I had him look at the dishwasher, which had not been properly installed and was torquing out of its opening when both loaded racks were out. He corrected the leveling and replaced anchor screws. Also replaced two screws in the fridge door side panel that had gotten stripped. These last two tasks were too small to justify a service call, but the problems were irksome and I'm very glad to have them fixed.

The repairman responded to my call immediately and was on time for the appointment. He listened to what I told him was going on with my washer, inspected the machine and told me he knew what was wrong because he had seen the problem several times with the machine. He had the part available in his truck because when I called and told him the make of the machine and what the problem was he knew what would probably be wrong. He removed the part and showed me where it was broken and worn and even I could see what was wrong with it. He was through within an hour. I would highly recommend this company.

I learned about Dand T from a coworker who had a great experience with them. Tony was able to quickly diagnose my refrigerator
problem, correct it, and returned the next day to make sure everything was running properly. Tony was very professional and customer service driven. Highly recommended.

After my washing machine stopped working on a Friday, I called several Angie's List providers hoping to find someone who could come on Saturday. No one could come until Monday. When I called Dand T, no one answered but I did receive a call back soon. Tony was very polite and made an appointment for Saturday afternoon. He then called Saturday morning and offered to come earlier, and showed up right when he said he would. He and his co-worker went right to work, found the problems and explained the cost to repair. The washing machine is 15 years old so we were not sure we were going to repair it; Tony offered his opinion on repairing versus replacing without any pressure for us to repair since he was there. We decided to go ahead with the repair. He had the parts on hand and had it fixed in less than an hour. He and his co-worker were polite and did a good job and we really appreciated them coming on the weekend. We would use Dand T again for appliance repair.

My front loading washer would drain and was making a buzzing noise after my son washed a rug that had pretty much disintegrated in the washer. I looked up how to change the filter on this model and it involved removing panels and the drum which was way more than I could do without ruining the machine completely. I called Dand T on a Friday morning and left a message. He returned my call within thirty minutes and explained that he was booked up for the day but could come on Saturday. He called Saturday morning to let me know he could be here in 30 minutes. Exactly 30 minutes later he was here. I told him the problem and also asked him to switch the hot and cold water because they had been hooked up backwards and to check the hoses. He gave me an estimate of around $100 if the pump was okay and around $200 if if had to be replaced although he could hear it still trying to work so he thought it was okay. He fixed the washer, the pump was fine, and switched the hoses and everything is working great now. He was on time, very polite and I was very appreciative that he was willing to come on a Saturday morning so close to Christmas to do the repair at a very reasonable price.

On Sunday I used the self-clean feature of in-wall oven; it did not seem to completely clean the oven.
On Tuesday, we realized the burners were not working even though the console, oven fan and light worked.
Investigating on the internet suggested the problem was probably a fuse in rear of the oven. I do not have the capability of pulling out the oven myself or locating the part so I searched Angies List.
After reading reviews, I selected Dand T and tried to contact them via Angie's List e-mail. THEY DID NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL SENT VIA ANGIE'S LIST, YOU NEED TO CALL THEM. I called Dand T on Thursday, they called back within a few hours. I had hoped for a Friday appointment but they gave me a Saturday morning appointment. They explained there would be a minimum $39 service charge to come look at the oven.
I explained the problem and provided the oven's model number.
10:00 Saturday morning, Tony called, asked a few more questions, said the charge would probably be $205 - $80+tax for the part and the remainder for labor. Tony arrived about 15 minutes later. He brought a cart in to set the oven on, pulled the oven out of the wall, did some electrical tests on the back of the oven, confirmed it was the thermostat fuse that was the problem, replaced the fuse, pushed oven back into wall, and checked it. He also said this problem occurs on all brands of ovens.
Tony also gave me some advice about my refrigerator.

Tony said he does not work with Angies List even though he heard he gets good reviews.

Making the appointment went easily; and they fit me in at a busy time (right around Thanksgiving). I was expecting a major problem with the oven, and it turns out it was just the bake element--he replaced it right then, and we've had no further problems. He was pleasant and efficient, and we enjoyed talking with him as he did the work. I will *definitely* be calling them first, if I have another need for appliance repair.

My double-door Kenmore Elite refrigerator was not cooling. I was very satisified with D and T. The technician was fast and professional. He even called me to let me know he was on his way. My report is late in filing as we are now in June but I am happy to report my fridge has had no problems since D and T's visit. My fridge is ice cold!
