December 20, 2011 the job is still not completed. numerous excuses. sick many times, workers sick, kids sick, dog broke into house, accidents, mechanical problems with truck, had to buy school supplies for children, worker's kids sick, forgot tools or equipment, flat tire, mother having operation, too hot, too cold, rain, windy, on and on! Terrible at estimating time and materials. Always running out of materials, supplies and never once meeting a deadline. Used my money to fund previous projects. Had to deliver a grill that he owed a client three weeks into my project. Always asking for early draws because he ran out of funding. Waste time and materials throughout the project. Never spent a full day on the job. Always asked for money before each phase of the contract was complete, then would take several more weeks to complete the phase. Makes deals with workers and subcontractors and puts home owner in jeapordy of leins from other contractors Lies to the home owner about purchases made for the project Tried to swindle the home owner at the end of the project for money to cover extra electrical expenses when the contract clearly stated that the contractor would supply all electrical. Non=professional comments about the home owner spending money on expensive furniture after we negotiated a price for the contract. Home owner had to finish many of the items towards the end of the contract and had to finish the final puch list. I put in over 130 hours of my own time to complete the project. Almost never cleaned up after himself except when he wanted to take pictures for his web page. Home owner had to spend several hours cleaning up the contractor's mess. Even had to pick up smoking material several times. Many times made commitments of times that they would be working, but would not show. Most of the time would not even call or answer the phone, then have excuses several days later. All sub-contractors did a poor job. Concrete pad was terrible with a cold joint down the middle of the pad. I had to flag stone over the mess. Had to finish electrical work Had to fund the remaining appliances from the final draw Had to hire other contractors to finish work Absolutely the worst contractor experience of my life Talks a good talk, but can't deliver. They have yet to finish the job. They leave and don't come back for a long time and I have to call them to get them to come back. We started the job in February and it is still not finished in October. They are very unreliable. They need to come out and finish the work they started so long ago.
