He had to come three times because he couldn't find any problem with the air conditioner. Finally he was not able to find the problem and I had to call somebody else, and then he realized it was not a problem with the air conditioner; the problem was the conduit. And that's why he referred me to another company. It was expensive but it needed to be done. He recommended it and I knew that if he recommended it the job would be done right. That's the good thing about having a company that you trust 100%, the referral has to be good whatever the price. The problem was fixed and the air conditioner works like a charm. Somebody trampled on the conduit in the attic and didn't tell anybody and that thing collapsed. So the attic was cooled very good but the house was hot. That was a disaster. And then of course because of the hot air and so on, there was a mold problem, but fortunately, nothing that could not be solved. The man is worth the money. I would grade him A throughout.

Mr Campbell was very helpful and patient through the selection process. He took the time to explain my options and upgrades. He recommended against certain upgrades even though his bottom line would have been improved because he was concerned with my best interest. He personally installed the systems with help and was attentive to details. The install process was professionally done and he verified everything was working as designed before moving on to other units. He even replaced a burnt out bulb that I didn't know existed in the attic; he had portable flood lights so it was strictly for my benefit. When the job was completed, he clean the work areas and left them in better shape than when he started. He was also very flexible to my schedule for meetings.

One of those Honest Service Contractor that you rarely see.  Doug the owner serviced my old system that other companies wanted to change out 7 YEARS ago but Mr. Doug fixed issue with minimal cost.  Even though I worked with him in the past several times I still got several bids for my own due diligence.  When I compared price with quality, he was it.  Doug was and is Honest.  This is the kind of person I can trust will do the job BETTER then I expect.  An employee to a large company will NEVER do the same quality like Doug the owner.  Doug really seems to love his job.  He know everything about AC systems.

I would recommend anyone looking for a repair or new ac system to speak with him.

The price was for the 2 ton unit and installation. My unit went out at a good time where I did not need the a/c or heat, so I was able to do some research and take in 8 bids for the job. In doing my research I found that installation is very important for a unit to run correctly and to give longer life to the unit. After talking with 8 companies I decided to go with Campbell. The job was very professional and completed in 5 hours. The american standerd unit has a 10 year warrenty on parts and Campbell gave me a 5 year labor warrenty. I would highly recommend Campbell for a a/c heatpump installation.

Doug tried to get my old unit to cool on 3 separate occasions without charging me. The outdoor unit needed replacing and was very reasonable. Decided to replace both units since they were very outdated.

I have used the services of Doug Campbell since I bought my house 7 years ago. He has maintained my old A/C and Heating operations--until the unit finally went out this last summer. He replaced my old equipment with a brand-new unit, and also sealed up all the duct work after noticing that my attic insulation was old, crumbling, and falling into my house around the unsealed vents. He has always been professional, reliable, and has promptly shown up or called when he said he would. I am a single woman and I find Doug to be honest, and I completely trust him to be in my home--even if I'm not there. He brings his black lab with him sometimes, a docile dog that just peacefully sits in the yard and waits till Doug is done. I think it's sweet, but if you are scared of dogs, you just may want to mention it to him. This company is highly recommended!

Mr. Campbell met with us in our home and determined our needs for a new system. The next day, he emailed alternative quotes which showed the costs for several systems.
We selected the American Standard dual state heat pump. Since we have multiple pets, we were concerned about proper filtration. The install system has a commercial filter box. [A word of caution here, the filter box does not use the large filters available at Lowe’s or ome Depot].
The installation was completed on the scheduled date. Mr. Campbell instructed my wife and I on the programmable thermostat.
We have used the system for a year now – and the system has been trouble free. The unit was properly configured for the size of our home. The majority of the time, the system runs in the lower state. However, during the hot summer months in Texas, the unit NEVER failed to provide a comfortable environment. The dual state with the extra capacity was a life saver!

Another HVAC specialist had looked at our heat pump and told us the compressor was going bad and gave us quote on new one.I always get a second opinion and I requested other qoutes online. Doug called immediately and it was on a Saturday also.I told him what the other HVAC folks had told me. He wanted to look at it for himself. He asked me a few questions. Then checked my disconnect switch and found it was hot. He said this is your problem and he was was exactly right. I requested a qoute for a replacement system since my system is about 8 years old. He provided me qoutes for three systems. The qoutes were timely and he explained everything you would need to know to compare each system. It is so refreshing to find such an honest business person.. I had him replace the switch box and when I am ready to replace the system Doug will be the one I call to take care of the replacement and any other HVAC needs that may arise with my system. He is clearly an outstanding individual and way ahead of his competition.

Look at the overall price, equipment quality and professional level of service. This wasn't the least expensive quote but I know that he will be in business when i need him.

We looked around and we did our research. We talked to our neighbors. We researched online, and checked different places and stuff. They were the first one to contact us as soon as we signed with a website. We had them come over and they gave us a really nice presentation like about an hour long. They just explained everything. We heard a lot about air conditioning and stuff. They came and it took them two days to do it. We got a 18 SEER unit. We love it. It is one of those super efficient ones. We just know that our electric bill went down about $70 a month. It was powerful. The owner came with his guys when he said he would come. They used to clean up every day after their work. They took the old one and everything. We had a problem with the air conditioning after a few days and it was not working properly. The owner came back out within 2 hours of us calling him. Everything is electronic stuff now, it has some floppy chip or something. He replaced it and it worked fine. We were very pleased with their service.

On Saturday, I awoke to a heater that would not come on and to the smell of gas.I called CPS and they confirmed a gas leak from the valve on the heater., turning off my gas, which left me with no heat, no stove, and no hot water. Since Mr. Campbell had installed the heater, I called him to ask him to come to fix the leak. He arrived at 12:00 noon and said he did not have the piece that he would need to install to fix the leak ,and he would not be able to get the piece until Monday. He was very apologetic. I told him that I would wait until Monday. He arrived on time Monday evening to fix it. As he walked in the door, he said , in an unfriendly manner, that he would have to charge me $200 to fix the valve. The cost was for labor only, since the valve was still under warranty. I told him I needed to have my gas turned back on since I had been without service for 3 days, and so I told him to fix it, assuming it would be labor intensive. I was quite surprised when he finished in 25 minutes. Since I agreed to pay that amount, I made out my check, but as I paid him, I said that I thought the price was excessive for 25 minutes of work. Mr. Campbell became agitated and told me he had done a lot of work to get that piece under warranty, and that he had also come out on Saturday (true, but only for 5 minutes and no labor). He continued to go on about how he had fixed my heater before for no charge,and he could not keep doing that. I said I never expected him to work for free, just thought $200 was excessive for such a short work time. He continued to argue, saying this was his business and I couldn't expect to lose money. He said he could not be responsible if the heater (that he installed) was no good, even if it blew up the house. I felt I was talking to someone who was not rational, and ceased talking. He t hen told me that if I did not like it, I did not have to call him again. I assured him I would not and then told him I planned to report the experience to Angie's list.

I called him once about 5 in the evening. He came in that evening though he had some other work. He was very professional and responsive.
