This update is 2 years and 9 months after my initial review. My wife and
I continue to be very happy with the work by C&H Roofing. The high
efficiency (white) shingles have decreased our air conditioning bills by
about 20%. When we had a problem with our air conditioning unit (the
capacitor failed), we were able to stay in our house overnight without
air conditioning, until it was repaired.

I cannot rate C&H highly enough. The cost of the roofing job was higher than other quotes that I received. However, one quote was from a business rated "F" on Angie's List. Another quote was $4,300 lower, but that business was not on Angie's List at all, and you can see that there appear to be about 400 roofers in San Antonio. I decided that I would rather have quality work than deal with a leaking roof in the future. I was interested in having the roofing work completed before the end of the year so that I could apply for the energy tax credit. C & H Roofing made it happen. They finished at noon on December 31st. In the interest of full disclosure, I have done some work for C&H Roofing in the past, but I am not now doing any work for them. It is great to be able to give return business to a client, and hope that they are as happy with your past work as your are with theirs.

It was a very small job and I was happy with what they did. Their professionalism was good. They responded timely and took care of it. I would call them if I had major job.

I had a roof leak that was going to be expensive to repair. I thought I had weather damage to the roof and the insurance adjuster verified the roof was damaged and he approved a new roof under my homeowners policy. I did not have a roofing company, so the adjuster suggested C & H Roofing which was convenient and on the insurance company's list of preferred providers. Mr. Howard of C & H stopped by and made some measurements and arranged for his crew to do the job. They showed up when promised and worked until dark for two days and then finished in the afternoon of the third day. They were very professional in their work, and meticulous in cleaning up after they were done. We were very lucky because rain was predicted before the job was completed, but it held off and started to rain 30 minutes after they left the job site. I was very impressed with the quality of the job and their attention to detail.

My insurance paid for it and I just paid the deductible. I was pleased with them. They were very quick and they did not waste a lot of time. They did a very good job. They cleaned up after themselves. They were here for 2 days and they cleaned up in the night when they left. They were very courteous.

In the process of preparing my home for sale, I discovered there was hail damage to my roof. This company was very prompt with estimate and scheduling the actual job. I have a 2200 sq. ft. home with adjoining patio and 2 car garage. The job was started on first dry day and completed on the second day. They did an excellent job cleaning up all the bits and pieces of material and swept for errant nails. I would definitely recommend this company's work.

The crew of four took approximately two days to finish the roof installation. They worked long hours, starting very early in the morning. Their behavior was excellent, and they spent a good two hours, cleaning up my yard afterward. The new roof looks great with the color of the exterior, and it is more sturdier than the old roof.
