C & C Moving Svcs

I needed immediate moving services and when I scheduled the service, Carla called me back within the hour. I was able to get the desired Saturday move scheduled on the Friday before. I appreciated the quick turnaround. The movers arrived at the scheduled time, and brought their own moving dolly. They moved me out of a 3rd floor, 2 bedroom apartment without the use of an elevator. The 2 movers were very professional and courteous. I was originally charged for 3 hours of service and each additional hour was $50. The whole process was accomplished within the truck rental time frame, which prevented additional charges. I would most definitely use them again. Thanks so much Carla!

After reading several reviews about this company I decided to book them for our unloading when we moved to San Antonio. Carla called me the same day to verify my date of service. The day the moving company in Oklahoma loaded our truck I realized I needed C & C to come earlier on the day I had scheduled. I called Carla and she changed the time and also told me how long it would take to unload the truck (although I misunderstood and thought she said it would take less time - my mistake!). When she found out who was loading our truck she was ecstatic and said she couldn't wait to tell her guys (which said a lot for the company loading our truck!). On the scheduled day I received a text message from one of the guys stating they were going to be late and the explanation as to why (they didn't realize they were having to deal with stairs on their current job). I text back saying it was no problem and asked if they knew they had stairs on my job (which they knew). They got there 30 minutes after the scheduled time and started unloading. These poor guys were probably beat by this time but they dove right in. When I realized that the 2 hours I had booked for was going to take longer I called Carla. She explained what I needed to do (payment wise) and that it was no problem. We eventually started helping (seriously, flights of stairs moving heavy furniture!!!) but these guys were amazing. My son, at one point, told me that one of the guys kept texting and that's probably why it was taking them so long. But when I talked to Carla at the end, she stated that he had been taking pictures of the load and that he wasn't happy on how it had been stacked. That really impressed me!! We even found a piece of furniture broken because of the stacking. All in all the job took 4 hours. The price was very reasonable. If I had to use an in-town company to help me move, it will definitely be C & C! Oh, and just an FYI - tip your moving guys! They deserve it!

They are great. They were on time or early each time. They handled everything quickly and with care. I would highly recommend them. They responded to calls very quickly and were very professional.

Very poorly. Most furniture, appliances, and equipment were damaged. This company so far has not acknowledged to damaging anything other than just one item. What most people do not know is that this company's insurance provider will reimburse for only those items that the moving company admits to have damaged. Moreover, the mover's insurance company is willing to pay only up to 60% of the market value of the broken item even if it is not an item whose value depreciates with time. Hence, we the consumer will have to pay the rest from our own pockets.

C and C moving sent us Craig and Rick to accomplish a "trading spaces" like assignment. We are working with Absolute Organization (also on angie's list) to finally get our house in order and to use our space wisely. Craig and Rick called ahead, arrived early, were fun to work with, moved heavy stuff carefully, all while adding ideas on to how to position furniture. This company was a "find" and worth every penny. I had not thought about using a moving company to move stuff about within your own home but this was exactly what we needed. Thanks to Absolute Organization for the referral and thanks to C and C moving for making a hard task, a fun and affordable task! P.S. If I were doing a real move to a new place, I would not hesitate to use these folks. Sheelah Sodhi

They arrived about 45 minutes late because of problems renting a truck (surprise--they don't have their own trucks). I had asked for 3 man crew, but only two initially showed up--they called a 3rd after they saw how much stuff we had. They rented a 28 foot truck, which wouldn't start once the first load was on board. About 2 hours later, the place the truck was rented from had someone out to fix the truck--the problem was a bad battery. The bottom line with the truck--they went with a cheap truck rental, which caused a 2+ hour delay. The crew did a good job overall, but we ended up with a gouge on the front of our entertainment center. To their credit, they quickly resolved the issue for us by paying for the repair. Overall, we were happy with the move. The first two crew members were friendly and professional--we enjoyed them very much. However, due to the major delay and the damage to the the entertainment center, overall it was just OK.
