First of all, we have had good experiences, especially with our exotics, with all of the vets at this location dating back to the early 90s. Our last couple of experiences though have left us unsettled and concerned. We are still happy with the vets, it's the vet tech experience we've had the last couple of times that has compelled us to leave a review. The female vet tech who assisted with our bird and then a couple of days ago our dog was overly rough and aggressive. We saw warning signs with our bird months ago, as she held our bird long before the vet came in, she repeatedly pulled and pecked at her beak with her finger. Our bird was clearly becoming distressed by this and we repeatedly asked her to stop doing what she was doing. She kept on saying how she loves these birds. It was like she enjoyed teasing our bird who was becoming increasing agitated and very stressed by the time the vet came in. The last straw was with our dog a few days ago. Our dog is high strung and very intelligent. We spoke with this same vet tech and said we would like to muzzle our dog but after that he will respond well to calmness and gentleness. When she entered again and proceeded to restrain our dog she pinned him to the floor while grasping both sides of his neck and then when he struggled she shook him and yelled at him to be still. My hubby and I have never seen anyone be this aggressive with any of our animals before. My hubby had a better view and from his angle he said it looked like she was holding his neck scruff so tight it looked like she was pinching him. THAT kind of thing is exactly what would cause a dog like ours to struggle more. Anyhow my husband yelled out at some point to have her stop..the "exam" did end but the vet tech did remain pinning our dog. I moved over to him to calm him down and his pupils were completely dialated and he looked utterly terrified. I asked her to stop holding him and she said she will when the doc asks her to. So I asked the doc to tell her to let go and she did. We talked for a bit with the doc, we were in shock. No charge because it was determined they couldn't help us since they were closing for the day. After my hubby and I sat in our car with our pup and wept. I've never seen my hubby get so emotional (angry, sad, dissapointed)...it will be very difficult for us to back now especially with our dog.

The receptionist was heartless when we naturally had questions about the procedure and possible alternatives. She wouldn't let us talk to the doctor and told us that if we had concerns, they refuse to perform any services because we should just trust the doctor. The doctor may be awesome but we couldn't get past the receptionist to find out. How about a little compassion for our loved family pets and our concern with risky procedures?

Appointments are on time. Dr. Vice and Dr. Richardson are wonderful caring people. They cared for my pug for over 12 years and were wonderful in his care during his final illness. I knew we had done everything possible for him. They have cared for my new pup and he is healthy and happy. They have cared for my cats and done a wonderful job of routine care and small medical problems. Can not say enough good things about the wonderful staff. They have been with them for years and know all of my pets with love and care.

When I had my dog put down two days later I get a package in the mail from the Vets office. It was a silk rose and a poem and a handwritten note by Dr..Richardson. The ashes were put in a mini coffin. He not only takes care of basic cats and dogs but also treats exotic animals. If you board your animal there and an issue comes up they will call you. Thanks Dr. Richardson and staff.

They are very convenient to us. We've been using them for 4 years. They are very competent in what they do. When we walk in everybody is very personable and friendly. They are very honest with everything they tell us. They always tell us everything up front so there are no surprises.

Shortly after we reached there my dog collapsed. I couldn't have gotten better help if I had gone to another hospital. They were good. They explained everything and went through point by point of what was happening. They comforted the dog and they knew I was upset. They were really good.

My 13 year old beagle Sheba passed away on 10/30/08 and I was devastated. I didn't know what to do. I called the Broadway Animal Hospital after doing a Web search on places that would cremate your deceased pet. They were very nice and told me they would take care of the cremation and call me when they had the ashes ready. They called in a couple of days with the ashes. They also did an autopsy to determine the cause of death...basically old age; her heart gave out on her. A couple of days later, I received a very nice sympathy card with inspiring words in the mail from The Broadway Animal Hospital. We had a funeral in our backyard and I read the words from the card as a eulogy. Then we spread the ashes in a hole and planted a red oak tree on top. I will use them again for my other dog.

Broadway Animal Hospital did an exceptional job. They were very nice and polite. They were very good with our dog. The place was very clean with large kennels. Overall, I was very happy with their service. I will definitely use them again.
