I took the car to have it checked out. They gave me an honest review of what was needed and estimated the time and cost." I made an appointment for the next week and when I arrived they greeted me by name and took the car right in. As promised they were done in 1.5 hours and I was on my way for the price quoted. I was impressed with their honesty in dealing with all the customers who came in while was waiting. I will definitely return and will happily recommend this business.

I asked the gentleman who saw me if he could do a diagnostic. He put the car up, looked at the pads, and told me that the pads looked OK. They were in the yellow, but I could probably drive with them til 50K miles. Just to make sure, he took my corolla out 3Xs on the road to listen for the sound- twice alone and once with his mechanic. He told me they couldn't identify anything out of the ordinary. He said further for me to keep driving until the sound was more consistent and then bring the car back in, but that from a safety stand point, the brakes were good. They did not charge me. I will go back when the pads finally need to be changed.

It took them an hour for the work.  I did not have any trouble getting an appointment.  The thing that stood out is that they fixed my pickup.  It’s a 16 year old pick up and for them to take care of it is a big deal for me.

They have always been outstanding. A big factor is that I went in for one thing that would have been a 700 dollar job for the breaks and they told me I did not need the work. However they did find that the steering gear was leaking and had to be replaced.

We were so pleased with the work and price for the Civic, that we took our Jeep in the next day. It turned out that the Jeep needed back brakes so the price was more, but Eddie informed me of the price ahead of time, and was even able to give me a discount since I am an Angie's List customer. He also said I would need front brakes in the future, but they didn't need to be replaced at this time. I appreciated his honesty. Everyone I spoke with from Eddie, to Ronnie, to Mark were courteous and helpful. Both my cars were finished in less time than estimated. I would definitely recommend them, and I will be taking in other cars as needed.

My son was going back to school and wanted his brakes checked (75K miles). He asked for the tires to be rotated since they would be off for the check.  We left the car with Brake Works and had no sooner got home than they called and said the brakes had at least 10K miles left on them.  My son went to pick up the car and Brake Works had rotated the tires.  Total bill: $0! We were very impressed with their responsiveness and honesty.  I will definitely go back the next time I need brake work done!

I had been informed during a recent oil change at a dealer that my front brakes were in serious need of new pads. As Brake Works is close to work, I contacted them, took my F-150 in, and after a quick diagnosis, was told my pads were fine, with 50% of life left, but the rotors needed turning to eliminate the pulsing I felt when applying the brakes. The service was completed quickly, exactly priced as quoted, with no and quot;up-sellingand quot;, no unnecessary add-on's, etc. I was most pleased to deal with a business that was obviously professional, honest and performed the expected service quickly with no hassles of any type. They will be my and quot;go-toand quot; provider for this type of service on any of my vehicles from now on.

For the past couple of months I've known that I needed my rotors turned but didn't do anything until Saturday when my husband and I were out and noticed that my rear brakes were making metal-on-metal noises. Monday I checked Angie's List for a recommendation on where to take my car. I settled on Brake Works and took my vehicle up there. They checked my front and rear brakes and told me that I needed new brakes for the rear. I asked about how much it would cost to have the rotors turned for the front brakes and they gave me a qoute, sorry I don't remember what the qoute was, I told them to go ahead and schedule the work for Tuesday morning and I would bring the vehicle back. I was told it would take approximately 3 hours to complete the work and that was about how long it took. Very happy and satisfied customer.

I noticed a problem with my brake light coming on sporadically. I then got feedback from an oil change at Jiffy Lube that I might have a brake fluid leak followed by an incident where my anti-brake locks engaged when I stopped quickly. I thought there might be something more serious going on such as the master cylinder leaking.
We took the car on a Saturday morning with no appointment. The gentleman who greeted us was very professional. They looked at the car thoroughly and called us within the hour. They said there was no brake leak in the master cylinder and that the brake fluid was low. They did see some leaks in the back brake cylinders and suggested we fix these. Everything else looked great.
We appreciated their honesty and trusted their expertise. We approved for them to fix the back brake cylinders at a cost of $161. We received the car later that afternoon. I now feel safe to travel with my car over the holidays.
