We built our pool when our youngest was 6, now almost 23 and used Brad Sharpe (who currently has his 2 sons also working with him) .I can say that I am still very pleased with my pool. 17 years ago we had gotten estimates from 4-5 pool builders at that time and Brad was VERY slightly over other estimates but he included so much more. He had a landscape architect come to the house to help with plans for pool, landscape and drainage. He also included rock waterfall, hot tub, stone pavers around pool area. He had tons of rock delivered to our house that he had personally picked out (I only wanted browns and beige's, no oranges, yellow or red). He had workers hand lay rocks for retainer wall with waterfall, hot tub, steps and pavers around pool.
THE MAIN REASON I WROTE THIS REVIEW WAS THAT BRAD PERSONALLY CAME TO MY HOUSE TODAY AFTER I CALLED HIM ABOUT A QUESTION ON A MOTOR FOR OUR JETS IN HOT TUB. HE IS STILL THERE FOR ME AFTER 17 YEARS.
After all this time I have had very little problems with my pool (only usual replacement of items due to age:..1 polaris, one motor, filter, plastic baskets in skimmers, chlorinater, ALL PAST THEIR PRIME...).
The main reason I selected Brad Sharpe Pools was that he is the owner and builder and was at my house at every step of the
pool building process. As an example when spraying the gunite/cement,, a one day process, he was here very early in the morning with workers and bought them pizza at noon to keep them working all day.
I had heard horror stories about larger pool companies that no one was onsite and electricians, tile etc. people came but no one was there to supervise and install in correct order.. Brad (or sons) are there every step ofthe way.
When we built our pool 17 years ago the 'rock lagoon' was very new and very popular and i still love it, but Brad has kept up with the newer popular styles as seen on his website: http://www.bradsharpepools.com/contact-us.html
Perhaps my only problem might be is that since they are so small and family owned, they do not service pools (but of course they do warranty their pools) but Brad is always willing to refer a service company if asked.
I highly recommend Brad Sharpe Pools.
