Well, a sad event, but the vet and staff were great, caring, and sensitive.

We were visiting Boerne and our Chihuahua developed bloody diarrhea. We called and they saw us in a little more than an hour. Before I had finished filling out the paperwork, a vet tech had come in and took the dog back to the exam room. After the tests were completed on her stool sample, Dr. Billquist came in and examined her. He explained that he thought she had an irritated lower intestine or colon, what usually caused her condition, what to expect during the next 5-7days. He also found that she had a yeast infection in her ears. He did not recommend expensive testing or any invasive procedure (which I was fully expecting).



The exam, tests and 2 prescriptions were $115.00, which I thought was very reasonable. I would recommend this vet to everyone. The facility is new, spotless and has the latest equipment and diagnostic tools (according to their website).

Wow, I cannot sing the praises enough of the care my cat and I received at Boerne Stage Veterinary Clinic. My regular vet comes to the house - so on a Friday night at 4:45 pm, I called Boerne Stage to see if they would assess my cat who was lethargic after eating yarn. Dr. Huehn immediately got on the phone and told me to come to the office. During the first visit - it was clear that my cat needed emergency surgery. Dr. Huehn shared that he could do the surgery - but as they are not staffed 24/7 my cat would be alone throughout the night. As a result - he made a referral for me to the Emergency Hospital where my cat had surgery, etc.
Dr. Huehn - who did not know us prior to this incident - followed up the next day to see what happened with my cat and generally showed compassion and care. We had several subsequent visits as my cat continued to run a fever and had no appetite. His competent diagnostic skills did get my cat through this traumatic turn.
If you are looking for a great place to take your loved pet - this is the spot. The office staff are kind and welcoming - but truly Dr. Huehn and his caring demenor are the BOMB!

Dr. Huehn and his staff are wonderful, very professional. The office is clean and you are never kept waiting.

He is a wonderful veterinarian who explains everything in great detail. He consistently follows up with a phone call even if it's a minor procedure that was done. His staff and techs are always friendly and professional. I can't recommend Boerne Stage Vet enough. They saved our precious pug Milo.

Everyone at the Boerne Stage Vet Clinic is always great with both us and our dogs. In this instance, it was our male that was having problems and he tends to get very nervous at the vet. Dr. Huehn, as always, took the time to try and make him feel more comfortable before proceeding with the exam and takes the extra time to answer any questions we may have. We have never had anything but a great experience with them and would highly recommend.

We have seen Dr. Huehn several times with our wonderful dogs and we have been very pleased with his professionalism and kindness every time. He has responded to a semi-crisis after hours and responded to a phone call on Sunday when he was away at a professional meeting. He WANTS to meet the needs of his clients and is not burned out.

Dr Huehn is assisted by his mother and his brother so this is a family business and they are all invested in the success of the business. They do this by being available, being smart, being kind and taking great care of the people asking for care. They are good people providing knowledgable and compassionate service.

The facilities are clean and modern. The dog runs for the boarded animals are clean and open, grassy and shaded.

I cannot imagine anyone being displeased with his work, his facility, his team, or his attitude. Great vet.
