Basically, the yard was a blank slate and we had a landscape designer work up a plan for our new backyard. Bob met with us to discuss our plans, time and budget . This was a large project and would not be cheap. We expressed our concerns for breaking the project up into phases and he was welll on board with that. He was able to draw up a plan that allowed us to tackle the yard in phases that would be manageable. He even made suggestions for trimming costs along the way. The work with the hardscape was started June 2011 and was not completed until early 2012. From the beginning Bob was checking the status and work of the crew. The crew was very professional, couteous and respectful to us and our property. They were working on the patio in the heat of that summer and work days were a little shorter due to high temps. Regardless, they were meticulous with the leveling and laying of each paver and the cutting of each stone to create the many curves of the seating walls. There are always hiccups along the way, but if the crew couldn't make it out, Bob always made it a point to communicate with me or come out himself to perform some of the work. I usually have a lot of questions and Bob was very patient and understanding and always explained everything that was being done and the reason for doing so. There were a few times when I wanted changes in the plan and Bob was right there and gracious as always and accomodated the chages if able. We were looking for a great utdoor living space to relax and entertain. We continue to receive compliments on the the quality of the brickwork and pergola and we are always proud to refer to Bob. Bob Hill may not have been the cheapest, but he was not the most expensive either. We ended up with a good quality product that we a re proud to share withour friends and family and know the work will last for years to come.
