BIG LOTS

Our plan was to look around only - but we found a table that we loved and my fiance applied for credit with Linda in the furniture area. Upon approval, she told us that they have 6 months no financing fees for purchases over $200. So we got the table and found chairs to match. They only had a set of the chairs we wanted and they were on clearance. Linda began calling some other stores that showed as having them in stock. We walked around the store and came back about 30 minutes later and she was still on hold with another store. She finally reached someone at the San Pedro store and had them hold two sets of chairs for us. Linda told us to have the other store call the credit card number to have them combine the 2 purchases so we could do the 6 mos. no interest and explain that we wanted to do the entire purchase at the 1st store but they didn't have the inventory. (She was awesome!) We went to the San Pedro store and received HORRIBLE service. We spent literally 2 HOURS total waiting at the store - the first 30 mins was spent waiting for someone to pull the chairs that were on hold for us... then we sat and waited at the front register for the remaining 1-1/2 hrs for the girl to make time to call the credit line to have them combine the purchases... she REALLY didn't care to understand what we were telling her - I tried to explain of what she needed to tell them about combining the purchases and she wasn't trying to listen to any of it. When she reached someone in the credit dept. on the phone she really didn't try to explain any of it to them either, and in turn, they said they couldn't do it. She wasted no time hanging up with them to tell us that it couldn't be done.I'm VERY UNHAPPY with the San Pedro store. I called Linda at the Goliad store and she said that she would be on vacation for the next 2 days but would take care of EVERYTHING for us when she got back. My fiance just got a call from her letting him know that she had taken care of everything. I can't say enough good things to commend her.

THE SERVICE PERSONNEL WERE VERY COURTEOUS. THEY SET THE DELIVERY. MEN WHO DELIVERED THE BED WERE PROFESSIONAL AND CLEAN. THE BED WAS AN UNBELIEVABLE PRICE FOR THE QUALITY OF BED.
