He wrote hot checks to some subcontractors after taking my money for the work. Many of the subcontractors were unprofessional and some used alcohol on the job and even left beer cans like they didn't care. Some of the subcontractors stole items from the residence and damaged property at the residence. He owed a local lumbar yard money(~$5,000) for decking supplies after taking the money from me for those supplies. He had a deck built that was not up to code and in my opinion unsafe. He made up a story that he paid approximately $3,000 to an engineering firm for some plans. I verified that no such report was ever made or paid for by speaking with the president of that engineering firm.
