Bee Busters of San Antonio

Initially, I thought we had a honey bee nest in our walls.  I didn't get close enough to the bugs with stingers to find out!  After attempting (a few times) to kill them ourselves, we decided to call a professional.  Dean was amazing!  I called to get quotes about prices and he quoted me $165 and change right off the bat.  He was able to come out A FEW HOURS LATER to take care of the issue.  Once he arrived, he told us they were actually yellow jackets with an extremely painful sting once agitated.  Having a 2 year old son and the fact that the nest was by the front door, I was grateful he was there.  Within 30 minutes he had taken care of the nest, did a perimeter check for other wasp nests (taking care of those), and gave us some hints on how to prevent/get rid of them in the future.  Since we had wasps and not bees, our cost was less than he had originally quoted - and he added a military discount as well. The service was excellent, the wasp are gone, and we couldn't be happier with the results.  Thanks, Dean!

I am the owner of a tree service here on Angie's list. We were in the middle of removing a large tree when 16' in the air we cut into an 8' long honey bee hive. Being tied into the tree and thousands of angry bee's flying around we were at a loss for solutions. After trying out another bee service on Angie's list I was quickly looking for more help. Called Dean and he was able to come out and help us within an hour of the call. He killed the bee's and then gave us a good plan on how to handle the rest of the tree. Dean was very eager to help. Very knowledgable and very professional. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!!! Can't comment on his price because I haven't received a bill yet! :)

Bee Busters of San Antonio were easy to schedule and were prompt with the time we agreed.  Dean was knowledgeable and experienced with bee and wasp populations, answering many questions, and laying out the options.  We selected Bee Busters because they were experienced in relocating hives when possible so the bee population could continue to exist and resume pollinating plants.  Dean was careful to preserve the hive intact as well as to cut around the hive with minimal damage to the hedge that hosted the colony.  While these kind of bees are small and not aggressive, it was a good idea for him to suit up even though it was a 100 degree summer afternoon.  Being efficient, he wasted no time, but was careful, and soon had the hive in a bag that was quickly sealed for transport. Once the hive was removed, we had time to converse on a number of topics, before he needed to head toward the country for the well being of the hive and its occupants.  He was very reasonable in price and provided a couple of avenues for discounts.  In addition, he was only 10 days out from knee surgery; being a man in otherwise good health, his knee recovery had gone well so that this kind of bee removal was not difficult nor seemingly painful.  Bee Busters communicated interest, openness, and commitment to the customer and the future for this hive.

Someone recommended that I contact Bee Busters of San Antonio to help me relocate a Mexican Honey Wasp nest my neighbors were worried about.  Because honey wasps are docile unless you treat the nest like a piñata, I preferred not to exterminate them, but they couldn't stay where they were.
Bee Busters quoted me a price over the phone and happened to be able to schedule same-day. He called when he was on his way, arrived on time, cut the nest out quickly and at a reasonable rate, answered my thousand questions about honey wasps, and took the nest to the country in a large cardboard box. The best thing is that it cost slightly LESS to relocate them alive than to kill them.
I couldn't be happier with the service and will definitely call them again in the future if I need help with bees or wasps.
