The price was reasonable, because we took all 3 of our dogs there. The experience was really good, because we have one that doesn't let anybody touch her feet or nails, and they had no problem at all. They are very prompt, we called on Thursday, and we were able to get them in on Saturday. The staff is very friendly. We have one dog that just hangs around me, and she had no problem there.

Both of the dogs looked great when I picked them up, and they actually were ready a little earlier than promised.  It is nice that Allen books specific appointment times versus having to drop the dogs off early in the morning and leaving them with the groomer for the better part of the day.

They always do an amazing job, price is very reasonable considering what I have paid at other grooming. Great customer service and always friendly, even when they are squeezing in our dog to accommodate a last minute grooming request.

I called on Friday and was informed that cats were bathed on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Since I needed it done on Friday, owner Allen Hanauer agreed to do so the same day I called. I found Allen and his staff to be extremely knowledgeable about their jobs and very caring about the animals. In fact, I was asked to be available by phone in the event the dogs frightened my son's cat enough that I needed to come get her.  When I picked her up, Allen informed me that  she had been frightened by the hair dryer and had urinated, so he had given her another bath and towel dried her.  The price was very reasonable and the claws and bath very well done. I compared Bark SA's prices to several other groomers and found their prices to be the best.  I also found out that Allen trains animals, and he gave me a lot of valuable information about how he handles training.  Based on answers to my questions and information he gave me, I was impressed by his knowledge.  I will be taking my son's dog to him for training.  Based on this visit, I would recommend Bark SA to anyone who needs any type of grooming for their pets.

They were great! Wish I'd found them before PetSmart messed up her hair. She will be going back when needed.

We have an Old English Sheepdog. She goes to Bark SA every other week. Brush out, Bath, Brush Out, Hair Cut, etc. An OES requires a lot of grooming.
Allen, his wife (and new baby) plus his number one assistant have created a homey, family atmosphere. It's not like going to a "groomer" it's like going to a welcoming, friendly place to have your pet cared for.
 
The pricing is extremely fair and honest for what you request to have done. Allen and Bark SA are by far the best we have found in San Antonio.  We have tried four other grooming facilities prior to this.   

All went well and I was EXTREMELY pleased.  I checked out location and business before I took my dog in and from just some of the questions I was asked regarding my dog (things that were told to me from my Vet when I first got my dog regarding grooming care) I felt they definitely were more professional than where I had taken my dog before.  My dog is young so have only taken her to one other groomer so I was concerned.  I was more than pleased with results and my dog did not display any signs of fear or skittishness when they first handled her or when I picked her up.  I think she had a good time.  I definitely will return again!

Just moved to San Antonio from PA.  Our two toy poodles are our "fur children" (i.e., loved as family members!). We went to the same groomer in PA for 15+ years; therefore, finding an excellent groomer in San Antonio was very important to us.  Thank you Angie's list for "taking us" to Bark sa Grooming by Allen!  Words cannot express how satisfied we were with the entire experience...atmosphere, professionalism, cost, quality of grooming and KINDNESS! We highly recommend this groomer.

Allen and his team are wonderful! They are all so professional and can always take my pups even when I call the day of. My dogs are always groomed perfectly and I will not use another groomer!!

I was originally quoted a higher price, but he ran into no problems so it wound up being cheaper, which was nice. My cat came home in perfect condition with no nicks. They only clip cats one day a week, on Tuesdays and the cat has to be there before 11am, which wasn't really a problem. My regular cat groomer is cheaper, but she has not been doing cats while she has been pregnant. We used several other groomers during her absence and Bark SA Grooming was by far the best. I highly recommend Allen.

Just moved to San Antonio and after experiencing bad grooming I decided to give Bark SA a try.  I'm so glad I chose this place.  My call was answered promptly by the owner, Alan and he patiently answered all my questions. I was able to set an appointment immediately.  The place was easy to find, clean, and he was very informative regarding the grooming session.  Saw a couple other dogs leaving the place that looked great.  I will definitely take our Westie back again and again.  Been back a second time and our Westie is looks amazing.

I am so happy that I found Bark SA/Allan...staff was great with Charlie, and my dog came out looking so much better, and obviously feeling alot better.   His staff is wonderful, courtesous and very professional.  His prices were reasonable and I will be using his services for all of Charlies future grooming. I will surely recommend him highly to all my friends who love their pets as much as i love my Charlie. Allan you did a great job.   Thank you.

The experience was as wonderful as it is every time. Allen and his staff are great with all the animals that step foot in the shop. I have been taking Isabella to Allen since she was two months old and I wouldn't think of taking her anywhere else!! She gets all her pampering here and I'm always happy with the results. This is a great shop and the price can't be beat for excellent service we receive every time we go. I recommend Groovy Grooming to everyone because you won't be disappointed!

We started with Allen in October, 2011 with our German Shepherd puppy of 3 months old for the Star Puppy training.  His knowledge of dogs, owners and training was very helpful in how to be a responsible owner and have a socialized well behaved dog.  His class was informal and relaxed with lessons being individualized to each dog.  Not only did we learn the basic training such as sit, down, wait & heel but fun tricks like play dead, shake hands and 'sit pretty'.  Allen was always open to questions and included his phone number if we had a question or concern when not in class.  Sasha has now completed 2 separate classes and is a joy to have.  We are looking forward to continuing classes with Search & Rescue training next. Sasha is a well behaved dog and although only just turning 1 year old this month, I know we are lucky to have met and trained under Allen.  He is our Dog Whisperer.

They're awesome.  We take our dog there 2-3 times a month and love the service. 

While our dog doesn't like the idea of a bath, she loves Allen, one of the owners, and she definitely has a better time than with the other groomers we've used. The whole team is very professional and attentive to our needs. Our dog has pretty bad allergies and needs a medicated without perfume afterward. Seems simple enough, right? You'd be surprised how many times other groomers have messed up those instructions because they just don't listen, or have employees that don't pay attention to detail. Miami Clips comes highly recommended.

It was great. I had been having Stormie groomed by PetsMart for 5 yrs or more and had been growing dissatified during the last year. I was being told she would act up, nip at the groomers and the last time I picked her up they had stopped in the middle of grooming her because they said she tried to bite them. She looked horrible and I have never had any problems with her biting anyone. I was at a loss where to turn until I looked up Miami Clips on Angie's List. I called Alan and told him my situation and asked he would groom Stormie. He agreed so we set up an appointment. When my husband picked Stormie up she was beautiful adn Alan didn't have any problems at all with her. I would highly recommend him.

I have been taking my Yorkie to Miami Clips for her grooming for approx. one year now. This establishment offers hands down the best experience for me and my dog thus far. It is always spotlessly clean, the grooming is exactly what I want, and the owner Alan is always extremely pleasant, as are his employees. Most importantly, when I pick my dog up from there after her grooming, she is always calm and happy, which was never the case when I used to take her to the big-name places for her grooming. At the other places, she was always trembling and clawing at me, as if to say 'get me out of here'. Not the case at Miami Clips. Every time I pick her up from there, she is happy and calm. This is the biggest reason I take her there every time she is due for a grooming. Miami Clips also offers half-price offers for two dogs, which I have taken advantage of as well. I will never take my dogs anywhere else but Miami Clips.
