Provider is mobile mechanic that was supposed to fix the starter in my car at home. He quoted a price and time, but did not show up at all, and did not answer calls. Second day he called and said he could fix that afternoon. I had a friend meet him to start the work, and I also took off early from work, but he wasn prepared to do the work, but instead did a diagnostic and charged one third of the parts cost for the diagnostic. A cost which he hadn't mentioned before, and which consisted of looking in the hood and confirming that I needed a starter, then he left. My friend payed him. He scheduled for the next day at 12, which meant I have to take off of work again. He also provided a new quote and added a parts delivery charge. When I called to ask him about the parts delivery charge, and to apply the diagnostic charge to the repair cost, he was VEERRRY rude and basically accused me of not wanting to pay, and kept asking "Do you want the work done or not?", not letting me get a word in, then proceeded to say "it doesn't look like you want the work done", and hung up on me. So now, I am out $45, which I suppose is better than getting bad service.
