They did a good job. Their price was reasonable. We had issues trying to find someone to work on the sub zero but they worked on it. They are local.

The guy who was there was very nice and courteous. He seemed very knowledgeable and he told me and he showed me what is always the problem. The service charge was right in line with everybody.

Overall, I was pleased with the service and plan to use this company in the future for other appliances not covered under warranty.

The company was able to get him out very quickly. He was very personable and informative. He was looking for the most efficient fix. He seemed to know exactly what was wrong. He was pleasant and got the work done. He let me know that I needed a chimney sweep to clean out the dryer vent to avoid future repairs.

Initial service seemed normal but overpriced. The oven seemed to work fine and the ice maker was taken away for repair. After several weeks passed we called the technician about the ice maker and were told he was still working on it. This went back an forth for 3 months and I finally demanded to have my ice maker returned. When it was delivered, we were told it was working fine and all we needed to do was hook it up. We eventually were able to hook up the ice maker after buying some missing parts but the ice maker would still not produce ice. Not wanting to deal with Appliance Specialists again, we called another company to take a look at it. We were shocked to find out that not only was the ice machine not fixed but wasn't even put together...parts were laying inside not hooked up and screws were missing. Two years later our oven stopped working again. When the technician looked at the oven he discovered that it had overheated and ruined the control board that was replaced by Appliance Specialists. We also learned that the safety fuse was cut out of the wiring and was no longer protecting the appliance which could have easily caused a fire. He believed the Appliance Specialist technician replaced the control board then determined it was not the issue but that the safety fuse needed to be replaced...instead of replacing it...he removed it from the oven and wired everthing direct. We discovered this in Apr of this year (2010) and demanded Appliance Specialists fix the oven. They looked at it 2 months ago and we still are waiting for them to return and finish. We have been told for 2 months now that they are waiting for parts. The owner of the Company, Christine Strahan, keeps giving us the run around and will not return calls. I'm ready to sue this company for the shotty, and downright unsafe services they have provided. What ever you do, stay as far away from this company as possibe and let your friends know not to use them for anything....I would highly recommend this company to your enemies however. We gave this company the opportunity to redeem themselves and they have once again proven themselves to be incompetent and very unprofessional.

The technician initially arrived as scheduled. He diagnosed the problem then said I had to empty the entire unit, turn it off and he would return the next day to install a new part. It took 4 large ice chests and 8 bags of ice to accommodate the contents of the refrigerator. The tech did not return or call the next day, nor did Ms. Strahan, the owner of the company. In short, it took two weeks and several telephone calls to get the technician to not only repair the initial problem but also the problems that he created by performing shoddy work. I filed a report about this company with the local BBB. I did not file a complaint as I want nothing more to do with this company. I also sent a 'do not use this company' email to all my friends, family and HOA members.

Appliance Specialists tried to rip me off. I was not happy with them at all. They basically charged me to tell me my stove was fried. If possible I would grade them lower then an F. I really believe that they should have a better system in place to make sure they don't waste anyone's money or time.

Appliance Specialists is an honest company. After they tore my washing machine apart to determine what was wrong, they advised me that it would be cheaper to buy a new washer than to finish repairing this one. It would have been about the same price. They were honest, helpful people. They have done repairs for me in the past. The money I paid was for the service call to my home under American Shield Home Insurance.

Appliance Specialists was a terrible company that used me and misled me. The serviceman came out and said I needed to replace the timer to fix a leak I had. I had them do it and the problem never went away. I called and they said they would be out in an hour and never showed. This went on for about a week and I just gave up on it. They would lie to me and I couldn't believe it. It just shows that they are not trustworthy. I would advise people to beware of them.

WE WERE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE WASHER NOT SPINNING. THE WASHER IS ALMOST 10 YEARS OLD SO WE WERE CONCERNED WE WOULD BE ADVISED THAT IT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE REPAIRMAN FROM APPLIANCE SPECIALIST WAS VERY STRAIGHTFORWARD AND HONEST AND REPLACED THE MOTOR AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. THEY ALSO CAME OUT WITHIN 1 DAY OF OUR PHONE CALL.

THE PART THAT YOU TURN TO SELECT THE WASH BROKE OFF. WE CALLED APPLIANCE SPECIALIST. THE TECHNICIAN CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY, WAS 5 MINUTES EARLY, AND FIXED THE WASHER. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL.
