Appliance Repair Service

I called ARS when my 7 yr old Samsung fridge stopped making ice.Repairman came and stated a new ice maker and filter were needed. ($489.) After 48 hours still no ice! I called the company again repairman quickly stated he had misdiagnosed the problem and a new generator would be needed. But I'd get a discount because I was a current customer n a senior citizen (am 82)($1500). I called several appliance parts store and was quoted $12-15 for water filter, $139-$159 for new ice maker. I know everyone charges a trip fee and a labor feee BUT I am now BLACKLISTING this company as numerous attempts to rectify this issue have proved fruitless.Company refuses to answer calls from my landline, cell phone. DO NOT DO use this company , They are not honest and don't care.SCAMMERS! I HAVE MY RECEIPTS TO PROVE WHAT I'M accusing them off.

It went very well after the dad, Jesse, called me to tell me his son couldn't find my house. I HAD TRIED to tell the young man that the GPS systems are not working correctly regarding my address but he assured me that his worked! They were both here within 5 minutes & were very spiffy & professionally uniformed. Dad was obviously the "experienced one" of the two so it worked out well. The price was fair as well. I understand that OTJ training is the best but I would check to be sure whichever son comes, is the most experienced. The ad in the Yellow Pages reads: Appliance Repair Service, Jesse & Sons. I was desperate and got very lucky.

The oven was switching to clean mode on own and would not shut off unless turned off at breaker.  Repairman came out one day and said he needed part.  He came back next day and supposedly replaced computer component and charged $544.00.  The oven worked when he left but two months later same problem is occurring this time with food in oven.  Food caught fire because of intense heat of clean mode.  Again oven won't turn off unless turned off at breaker.  We called ARS back and they said they would come out the next week.  Repairman didn't show up and now won't return calls.  We called from a different number and they answered right away but hung up when they realized who was calling.

Our refrigerator broke down on Sunday.  We called Appliance Repair Service and he said he would be there on Monday between 9-11 am.  At 11 am on Monday we called to see if he was on his way and only got on answering service.  We called back serveral times and he has not returned our calls.  We should have come out to Angie's List before we called him, but were desperate to get out refrigerator fixed.

He was unreliable and could not remember the house address, street name, or who he talked to when my husband scheduled the appointment.  It was as if everything he told us was bogus, if he could not get the information correct, how could I trust him to do the job correctly.  He was also very rude.
