Performed work adequately and competently.

Our outside unit froze solid during the winter. The technician told us, it was caused by water dripping from an overhead tree. Now it is summer and the condenser is leaking from the attic. A technician from another company has showed us the freon leaking from a pipe with a bad weld. Had the first technician seen this, we could repaired the unit, while it was under warranty.

To me they did some shoddy work. When the inspector came in the work wasn't up to par. They weren't quick to come out, and it was a brand new unit. They had left gaps in the duct and the slab was too small for the unit. They fixed it. We're satisfied right now.

I went through home shield to get job done.

1) These guys are really, really bad. We did a conference call, & Jason gave us an estimate over the phone. He discussed with us about Freon and pureon. He gave us two quotes with senior discount & with a payment process plan for 12 months. He wouldn't let us use the coupon in the yellow pages that would of saved $750 with no fine print! Thursday 13th a gentlemen came with an invoice that said estimate, with 2 units on it & price to pick which unit. (performance series or comfort series). Was suppose to come out & install Friday 14th, & called Jason to verify this information for installation, & he informed me that the Carrier unit was recalled. So I called Carrier headquarters, & they said there was no recall on the performance series, there hasn't been a recall in forever! I called Jason again, & he still said that there was a recall on the unit, & I informed him I called Carrier direct, & they told us to go with the performance series & not comfort series. LIES, LIES, LIES.

The representatives were on time and professional. The only gripe I had was the time I was without A/C, for one week. This may however be because I have American Home Shield and you pay with your time. But the bottom line is I have my A/C again and it only cost me a $45 service fee.

Ambient Air did a terrible job installing the new motor on our air conditioner. They did it wrong. I had to call them back, because it was not cooling. They said it would have to be re-installed so the air would circulate through the cooling fins. I got very angry and told them to leave and I hired someone else to fix their mess.
