Alfredo's Tree Service

It took a week longer than they promised. And they DESTROYED my front yard, dumped wet cement in puddles in my grass and left it to dry...I've been raking up gravel for a month now, and I haven't even got to my back yard, which has rock and caliche that they dug up in lined up in 10 foot sections along my fence. It's disgusting that they can get away with this. They just took their tools and ran - no cleanup whatsoever, I didn't even have time to evaluate the mess they left. I called and left a message, texted Alfredo, and even complained on their website. I didn't receive one response.

Overall, my experience with Alfredo’s Tree Service was unsatisfactory.   I feel that he constantly changed what he ‘meant’ to say in order to avoid doing what he first agreed to do.  He mentioned that he would cut branches, collect the leaves, and dispose of all the debris.  Unfortunately, he did not do this.  He did not collect the leaves that fell on our roof, and he only used a leaf blower to push all the fallen leaves into my back yard.   I explained to him that some branches still posed a problem for my neighbor and for our home, but he insisted that this was not the case.  He argued that cutting more from the tree would ultimately, damage the tree.  I told him that I did not agree with this, and he then began to say that the branches were ‘too high’.  I told them that they constantly gave mixed messages and misleading information and he replied with the following: “Well, it will be double the price that we agreed upon.”  Lastly, I feel that they were disrespectful since they frequently spoke in Spanish to avoid getting caught cutting corners.  I am fluent in Spanish, but I was very upset and I did not want to deal with them at that moment.  I feel that justice is best served on the internet.  Why do I feel this way?  Well, Angie’s List allows me to tell others how this company actually operates, and it allows Mr. Alfredo’s Tree Service to ‘literally pay’ for his mistakes.  That’s right… nothing beats letting Mr. Alfredo pay for negative reviews!  Mr. Alfredo’s tree service had an opportunity to perform to the best to their abilities, but unfortunately, they chose to take a different route.  Please beware of this company!

I used this company because he was working on another house on my street.  I was in my front yard and he stopped to see if I needed any work done.  I really appreciated him stopping to see if I needed any services.  I knew that my Oak tree was in need of a good trimming (I'm sure he could too) and was in close contact with a Crepe Myrtle.  He said he would do both so I hired him on the spot hoping for the best.  He showed me his license and got started.  He called me out in the middle of his work and walked me across the street to see if I liked the shape of the tree and asked if it was ok to cut a limb that he wasn't sure about.  I said yes and he continued working.  He cleaned up all his work and he also continued working when it started to rain.  I'm going to hire him to trim my Oak in my back yard and do some landscaping as well.
