Alamo Flooring and Construction should NEVER be on your short list of contractors - workmanship is poor, they are dishonest and treated me horribly. I ended up firing them halfway through because of the dishonesty and condescending behavior of almost everyone in the company. First, was the walk through for the initial damage. Multiple areas of damage from the flood were missed (closets, ceilings, other half of stair banister, paint damage, all closet built ins damaged etc..). Even when asked to add to the list, it was ignored or lied about and said that my adjuster denied it. I know this to be true because after firing this company my adjuster personally came out, saw the damage, included it in his estimate and covered it directly. Second, the workmanship was poor. The banister was removed and instead of sanding down the chipped areas, they were just painted over. The chipping can be seen easily and I even cut my finger where debris was just painted over. The entire ceiling (as quoted) was not painted. Obvious squares around returns/vents/speakers were different colors. When questioned, I was told that I was looking too closely. The reassembly of the banister to the walls is horribly done with different color paste. The railing of the banister (not on the job list) was wiped down with a tarnish that left it sticky so the original varnish was removed and changed the color of the railing. The caulking job was so bad on the baseboards that there were huge gaps and globs on them (this was eventually fixed). Their taping job ripped wallpaper off of my wall in multiple places, tape on my fan left spots where the paint was pealed off when removed, left a few dents in my walls where they were working, and cracked the stair railing mount plate. They refused to cover the wallpaper damage and offered me $40 for the railing mount to include parts and labor. Third, they were very rude in EVERY dealing with them. During the blue tape walk through, I was told that all of the damages are just a part of the risk of having work done - and nothing was done about them. When I told them what color to paint the trim and banister was told that “Women don’t know what they want” and they argued rudely about it till they finally did what I asked. I have dealt with many construction companies and I can say without a doubt this has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. I would run from them if your insurance assigns them to your job.

We went thru our home owners insurance ( USAA) when we had a pipe break in the wall. I called a plummer and had it fixed. The floors in 2 bedrooms and a hole ( where they had to cut the wall to fix the pipe, about 12x12 inches). This project started in the middle of April. Cody ( worker ? at ALAMO) failed many times to return calls or to keep us informed of the projects. the 3 SUB CONTRACTORS were fantastic and did a fantastic job on the project. THe project FINALLY was finished today ( 31 July). ALAMO totally failed in keeping us informed of what was going on. I did NOT have a good repore with CODY because I told him I was very big on communication. This possibly 3 day job took 3 months to finish. I would NOT recommend them to anyone, even thought the subcontractors did a wonderful job.

Awful service. Got stuck with these horrible slackers because someone at USAA likes them. I am equally ticked at USAA. The chimney is crooked. They were supposed to come back and repair but never did. Told me, their victim, to stop calling. Avoid these liars!

This "outfit" was a USAA insurance referral. Let's just say USAA has slipped a bit. I had severe water damage from a leak (brand new roof) and needed extensive repairs in my master bathroom and the pantry below. This company was committed to minimalism and did extremely low quality work. It became so bad we made them finish and had to go out of pocket to finish repairs in the pantry. We voiced concerns and received little empathy from Cody or USAA. I wouldn't hire this group for anything. The photo is about 8 months out on a cabinet used once a day.

This company did a fantastic job on my property. The quality of work was exceptional and the people were very professional. I was referred to Alamo by my insurance company to fix a very bad roof install by another company after the hail storm in 2016. This company is top rated with multiple insurance agencies. I worked with BJ West to redo do the roof and property damage. His teams were always on time, kept me informed and did quality work. Hard to believe there are honest contractors out there but this company is on top of their game. They offer a variety of services and I would definitely recommend them.

Though another reviewer stated that this company does only insurance repair work, that was not true when I called. I did not use insurance for this job. I did get their name from a USAA list of recommended contractors, though. I called for an estimate, and they were able to send someone out within 3 or 4 business days. They arrived on time, gave me a price, and I agreed to the work. I did get an estimate from another company (Hicks) and the estimates were very close. The only reason I gave them only a "B" for professionalism is that they could have kept me better updated about when they could start the work. The main person they use for tile work was gone for a holiday weekend, as it turned out, which is why they were not scheduling the work right away, but I did have to make a couple of calls to get that update. The work itself went very smoothly. Everyone who worked here was punctual and professional. They could not promise to save any of my tile for reuse, but they were able to save all but one piece (the one with the hole cut for the toiletand I had some unused extra pieces, so this was not a problem).

I haven't had them back. I could have done it better. They only do insurance claims and they wouldn't necessarily be on Angie's List. It took me several days to get the textures off my cupboards. I had done better tape jobs. I had to call them back three times and it was so frustrating. They were right on time to do a crappy job. The guy argued with me.

Alamo Flooring and Construction is a trustworthy company. They did an excellent job replacing my flooring that was water damaged. They were on time and the employees were great. Our insurance covered the cost of the repair.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT. THE FIRST TIME THE CEILING WAS PATCHED AND PAINTED THE HOLES WERE VISIBLE AFTER THE PAINT DRIED. I LET ALAMO FLOORING KNOW AND THEY CAME OUT AGAIN TO SPRAY MORE TEXTURE. IT STILL WAS NOT RIGHT, SO THEY USED A DIFFERENT MATERIAL THAT WAS MORE DENSE TO COVER THE HOLES. THEY TEXTURED AGAIN AND PAINTED. THIS TIME YOU WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO TELL THE CEILING HAD EVER BEEN DAMAGED. THEY WORKED WITH ME THE ENTIRE WAY AND WERE COMMITTED TO MY SATISFACTION.
