Initially called Alamo Appliance Repair for my mother since she had been having issues with her less than 2 year old front loading washer. The fact that this business is owned by a veteran was a big plus for us. The receptionist was very kind and understanding as I explained the issue. We set up an appointment for the next day.
Jeremy showed up at my mother's house and was simply amazing. My mother occasionally has issues with language barriers and I was worried since I would not be able to be there with her. Jeremy was an absolute pro. He thoroughly checked out the washer and determined that it was a computer (control panel) issue. Apparently, this is a common problem with these types of washers. Rather than trying to upsell any parts and/or services, he recommended that we contact the manufacturer and explain the situation. He suggested that we attempt to get the manufacturer to send a new part since they can be rather costly. He did charge $49 for the service call but he let my mother know that once we got the new part, he would come back out to install it and the $49 would be credited towards the cost of repair. Approximately, two weeks later, we had gotten the new part and Jeremy honored his word. He replaced the control panel, checked to make sure the washer was working properly, and applied the service call fee to the cost of repair.
In the future, we will never use anyone but Alamo Appliance Repair. They are an honest and reputable company. I was extremely grateful that he did not try to take advantage and over-charge my mother, especially given that she is an Asian female. In the past, we have run into businesses that have not been so honest and considerate. I cannot say enough about this company. I highly recommend for anyone who has appliance issues to give them a call! Thank you Jeremy for the wonderful job!
