John is a very polite and professional individual. He's thorough and very personable. He checked inside and out for leaks, and he did an air quality test. He answered a question about a particular vent that had a trace of mold (which was not what I was infected with). We found out from a home mold kit we took previously. He said the way the vent was angled down would cause condensation. That is why some mold was there. He quoted the price ($50 less, without us knowing) over the phone to my husband. When he was done testing, my husband asked if everything was included in the $325.00. He said "it's $375.00, but because I misquoted you, you can pay the $325.00." I mention this because it shows he has integrity.

It went okay. The people were professional. The cost was $300 and that ws just for the test, and then the service fee was I think $125, and I had two other areas tested for $75 a piece. The $300 was just for sending it to the lab. His attitude was cocky, and everything I said we have mold here, he said I should not say mold again, because only a certified mold specialist can use the terminology mold. I was wondering what in the world was wrong with him. He was very exurbitant about what he does, but his customer service skills were very poor. I thought the price was tricky. I thought the $300 would include his trip service, the test, and at least one air test, but it seems like his price was not fully disclosed. He did use a professional swab, and he made sure the sample was not going to be contaminated by anything. He was very knowledgeable. He called within a day or two, and the lab came back within the estimated days that he said. He needs to choose better words, and come down on layman's terms.

"Mrs. [Member Name Removed], I am very concerned about your comments above that you were not happy with the service. I'm wondering if you possibly have me confused with someone else that may have come to your house. You show above that the work was completed on 2/15 yet I was at your house on 3/22. Also the package you bought thru Angie's List for $300 did include 2 samples. According to my report, I performed 3 air samples (2 inside & the outside baseline sample). I did not take any swab samples that you are referring to. I always try to be upfront with my pricing and very clear that additional samples are $75. I only show that you paid $75 to Aladdin Environmental on the day of my visit (plus the $300 you paid Angie's List), not the $550 you are indicating above. I've never been accused of being cocky, but I really apologize if I came across that way. I also don't recall, and something I just wouldn't say, that you should not say "mold". In some cases if something is questionable about being mold, I will say the only way to know for sure is to test it. I don't know that I have ever used the term "certified mold specialist". Again, I apologize for your experience and really apologize if I am actually the one that acted that way. I do recall you telling me about bad experiences with your construction project & how the situation is still bad after all that you went thru. I would be more than happy to visit with you about this if you would like. Thank you, John"

Inside air samples adjacent to where the plumbing leak occurred proved to be much lower than the outside air control sample.  I was provided a professionally arranged written report along with lab data and pictures taken the day of the inspection. 

Air samples were taken on a Friday, and I had the results by the following Wednesday. 

I would recommend Aladdin Environmental to anyone.
