Advanced Solar

The installation in 2015 went well when they were trying to break into the market in the Albuquerque, NM area. The major problem comes 3 years later. At installation, they gave us a written guarantee/certificate signed by Don Dickey, the owner, that stated if we re-roofed our house within 5 years of installation, they would come out, removed the solar panels, and reinstall them after reroofing for $500. We now need to reroof so we called late this summer to redeem our certificate and were told they would not honor it any longer because they had pulled out of New Mexico and no longer do business here. There is no caveat in the certificate as to where or where they are not doing business affecting redemption, no wording at all that should affect our ability to redeem it. Even offering a solution to them in writing such as them finding a local solar company in the Albuquerque area, so that we can pay the $500 to the local company and Advanced Solar picking up the rest of the tab would have been great, but to no avail. They refuse to return our calls, emails, etc., and now we are left with finding a local company and paying probably 5 or 6 times the amount quoted to us by Don Dickey and Advanced Solar. This company has no intregrity, no ethics to keep their promises, and no desire to make things right with us. It is not our problem where or where they choose to do business, and that guarantee/certificate was given to us with no caveat whatsoever on redemption as long as it was within 5 years of installation.
