They did not come out for at least a week because the technician said they had a death in the family, so they did not have any backup help. He had no one to cover for him.  I had to use Adams Air because the home warranty company said they would not send anybody else. I thought that was awful. The air conditioner is in my hall and it was too big to come through my closet. So he had to cut because he was going to put a new, bigger opening in and he had to reframe it which was going to cost me extra money. He was supposed to come yesterday but they called me wanting to reschedule it for Friday. I told them he was supposed to come today and I was told he was not able to come today and that I needed to reschedule it. I paid them a $75 service fee and then another $75 for stuff that my warranty company does not cover. Plus they don't cover making the door bigger to get the air conditioner in and out -- so that is another $375. They were awful. They said they would call me back and never did. Their internal communication was poor.

Earlier in December, Adams Air Care replaced the thermocouple on one of our furnaces.  We were disappointed that the furnace in that part of the house did not seem to be coming on when it got cold again earlier this week.  My wife called our home warranty company, who approved another visit by the Adams Air Care.  Since it was the day after Christmas, and it was a repeat visit, the owner (I think it was the owner, he introduced himself as Adams) came out himself, only a couple of hours after my wife called.
He diagnosed the problem quickly as a faulty capacitor.  He replaced the capacitor the same day.
He explained the problem, fixed the problem, and did it all efficiently.
I have a high degree of belief that the owner cares about the quality of the services that his company provides.

I have been very happy with them.  The only drawback is that they are very busy and it is sometimes hard to get an appointment with them.  I will definitely continue to use them in the future.

They have been out here twice and they haven't finished the job. It is about three weeks since I called. He is not even taking my calls. I have even informed the home warranty people about them. My husband could probably have wired the thermostat if I had it.

David was polite, but was ultimately unable to get the unit fixed. I do not think Adams is to blame for the 11 days it took to get the correct part (this was 1st American's fault), but when the parts were finally available he did not connect everything correctly. He placed an old cover on a new compressor and did not wire the unit correctly. This caused a fire and another 1 1/2 weeks passed before another company could finally replace the entire unit. It took almost three weeks to finally have a working A/C again. We also paid him the $50 service charge plus another $120 for "modifications". This money was paid prior to the fire and apparently not recoverable.

Total time on the job was about one hour. Work apparently was done correctly, as A/C does seem to work more effectively. However, price seems very high for "cleaning work" of such short duration and few materials. Would recommend only if price is actually competitive.
