I moved here one year ago and needed piano tuned after move. I was able to get an appointment quickly and he arrived on time. The appointment lasted one hour just as he had said. It was very enjoyable to have piano tuned for the Christmas season. I would definitely use him again.

I recently moved my Mother's baby grand piano into my new home in San Antonio. While I had it professionally moved, it clearly needed some TLC and tuning. Mr. Nichols arrived on time and prepared to work. He clearly knows exactly what he is doing and had disassembled my piano in no time. He was happy to answer any questions I had, and he shared key information with me for my records like Serial Number and Model. He explained and then performed a couple of 'extra' steps in order to alleviate 2 keys that were sticking slightly for a modest sum, and polishing up some of the brass fittings. He also suggested several subsequent actions for a later date including a full cleaning. Overall, I was very happy and intend to use Mr. Nichols again on a routine basis. Well Done.

Mr. Nichols was extremely prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and very kind. Would use him every time.

Mr. Nichols responded to my inquiry very quickly. After setting the appointment date and time Mr.Nichols sent me a reminder the day before, which was great, as I don't always look at my calendar. He arrived at set time and tuned both pianos. I had some questions which he answered to my satisfaction and he didn't mind the crew of cats watching him!!! I will certainly call Ace Piano Tuning next year at this time for a yearly tuning and I would recommend them to anyone with a piano.

Steve was on time and did a good job with the tuning. He was able to identify the root cause of a sticking key (a loose pin) that other tuners had not been able to definitively fix. He showed class in speaking well of the other tuners as respected colleagues. His prices are reasonable.

He is very friendly and although was running late he called to let me know that he was.

This piano had been moved from Fl to TX and needed a tuning. Steve arrived on time, was very friendly courteous and knowledgeable. The piano was not too badly out of tune so Steve only charged my $80.00.

Steve arrived on time and was very professional. He went into detail about the tuning process and different levels of tuning. He extremely precise and honest about our piano. We will be using him from how on!

Mr. Hess is a very knowledgeable and professional individual. I went on Angie's list to submit a request for piano tuning. Mr. Hess called us the next day to set up an appointment and arrived on time. We originally contacted him to tune our piano after the local piano movers explained to us that once a piano is moved it must be retuned. We were unaware that moving the piano from upstairs to its current location downstairs had caused the keys or the keyboard to be off-balance. Mr. Hess took the piano keyboard apart and thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done. He took the keyboard with him and placed every item back in its place neatly. He called us after a couple of days later and reset all parts and tuned the piano. He also informed us that it needed to be retuned in approximately six-months then it should be okay for a while. (We will be contacting him again soon) As he played different melodies while fine-tuning the piano the music sounded so beautiful. Thank you Mr. Hess for a job well done!

Arrived on time and got right to work on my cheap craigslist piano. It was badly in need of maintenance and long overdue for tuning, so it took much longer than expected. Two repairs were also required. Although I feel sure he worked much longer and harder than is typical for a tuning, the price came in at only slightly over the range quoted on the phone, reflecting the additional cost of the repairs. I tried to tip him but he graciously declined.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I've had Steve tune my Baldwin. Usually takes about 1 1/2 hours, so he's very thorough. On a previous visit we had to replace a string that broke. He ordered it and returned in about a week to install. Always prompt and courteous and enjoyable to talk to. He knows his stuff and the piano always sounds perfect after he's finished. He's quite an accomplished pianist as well. Just so you know, the first few times your tuning may cost a little more, depending on how far out the instrument is and if it has to be double tuned, but do it regularly and he has charged me less each time. Recommended.

He came out this morning and did an excellent job. He was very knowledgable and prompt with his service. He even fixed a small piece on the piano as well as the tune up. He is a musician as well, he has a great ear for this! I would highly recommend him to anyone. He was highly professional, knowledgable, and personable!
