"Thank you for the kind review. If I could review my customers, I would give you a consistent A rating all across the board. It is always a pleasure to see you!"
"I truly appreciate your feedback, and I hope I can continue to keep your system running at its best! Have a great summer!"
"Thank you thank you thank you!"
"Thank you for continuing to entrust your sprinkler system needs to my company!"
"It was nice visiting with you and I hope you have a blessed fall/winter. Call me if you need me!"
As I mentioned above, he moved some of the heads to increase coverage and improve my water pressure. He was able to add more heads to some dry areas and they are now getting covered for the first time in years!
David always called me to verify the times he was coming. He was very careful to keep the back gate closed so the dogs were always where they were suppose to be!
He worked long and hard to improve my old sprinkler system and I am very happy with the results.
"It was such a pleasure getting acquainted with you and your beautiful canine companions!! Thank you for the encouraging words."
"Thank you sir! I look forward to serving you again this coming week, but meanwhile I appreciate your feedback."
"Thanks for taking the time to review my services. Have a great summer!"
"Thank you Thank you Thank you!"
"It was such a pleasure to work with you two, and I hope you will enjoy all the benefits of converting to drip irrigation. It's not inexpensive, if it's done right, and I feel confident that you made the right choice for your landscape. All the best, and Merry Christmas to you and your family."
"Thank you! You are so kind to share your experience with my business. People like you are the reason I enjoy what I do so much!"
"Thank you so much for taking the time for this review posting. I don't advertise on AngiesList like many of the companies that show up in the first page of search results, so reviews like yours are really important to my business. Merry Christmas to you and your family!"
"Thank you! You were so much fun to hang out with while I was tinkering in your yard!"
"Thank you for the kind remarks. It's not often these days that I work Saturdays, but this was a special case with an urgent deadline. I truly appreciate reviews from happy customers. Unhappy customers, by all means, should communicate with me about whatever dissatisfying event has occurred before writing negative reviews. I always strive to do the right thing, to do the job right, and to meet the highest standards of service."
"Yes, I really did do that ... costly mistake indeed (for me, at least). Thankfully that doesn't happen every day!"
"Thank you very much. It's always good to have happy customers."
Mr. David Nelson set to work problem shooting the main control box, verified that there were no alternate programs set up, and after checking the programming and the integrity of the wiring, explained options for how to fix it or just ameliorate the continuous run problem (we opted against replacing the system control board at this time).
He then set to work checking each zone, sprinklers, and overall water-line pressure--which was too low. He was kind to let me tag along and offered pointers about how to make various adjustments on my own in the future. Admittedly, my Sprinkler System IQ was about that of our main water-line pressure: 55-60. He searched for our Pressure Reducing Valve, and adjusted it to increase the line pressures. Immediately the adequacy of the sprinkling coverage area overall dramatically improved.
David inspected each sprinkler head and adjusted one which was too low-set (= even when popped up, would plaster the roots of the surrounding grass with water), which he replaced with a 2-inch extension riser. Now, I don't have to spot edge around sprinkler heads! As we were checking the last zone, he spotted a leak (something that seemed obvious when he pointed it out, but that I initially attributed to a critter-hole) in the grass. It was actually a significant Gusher no where near a sprinkler head. He dug down the 12-inches to the PVC pipe, cut out the hole, and placed a coupler piece over the cut out segment. When we rechecked that last zone....viola....suddenly, the zone worked flawlessly and the rainbirds were again reaching the dry-spot.
BOTTOM LINE: very courteous, knowledgable, and conversant about a wide variety of sprinkler problems. You know how sometimes, you ask a tradesman (as in the A/C repair guy) questions about how things work and you get "run of the mill" answers that dodge your questions? Well I got the sense David is VERY knowledgable...not because he memorized rote answers, but by how simply and clearly he could answer my questions. At one point, he explained perfectly how a solenoid worked (brought me back to my Physics days in College). That being said, I knew I was getting "Top-of-the-line" recommendations. He runs a straight-forward business as a "Professional" doing something he clearly enjoys. Very satisfied customer. A pleasure to meet him. Highly recommend his services.
"Wow! Takes my breath away! You're too kind, but thanks for the glowing review!! My wife and I also wanted to thank you both for the pumpkin chocolate chip cookies ... yes, I took some home to my wife, and No, I did not eat them all by myself, although I was seriously tempted. Those were awesome, thanks!! Take care during your deployment and know that we will keep you and your family in our prayers. God bless, - David"
David Nelson was quick to respond, called me ahead on his way to my home, and gave me detailed estimate first. He completed the job efficiently by replacing sprinkler heads, repairing one leak, and adjusting spray nozzles. He also reset the timer and showed me how to check it. I was pleased with the service.
"Thanks for the kind review, and please keep me on your list to call next time! All the best, - David"
"Thanks for writing up a review for me, and hopefully I WILL get to meet you someday ... any time it's gets over your head and you need help. Cheers, - David"
"Always glad to be there helping out ... it was a pleasure meeting you. David"
"Congratulations! This is the shortest review ever!! But your feedback is equally valued and appreciated, regardless. Thank you for your kind referrals amongst your neighbors. I hope you are having a great summer. Best regards, - David"
