I made an appointment yesterday to bring my vehicle in for an oil and filter change on Wedensday, October 9, 2014. This AM I arrived promptly at around 8:00 AM and Charles and Tony immediately got the paperwork together for the work to be done and promptly got the car in for the oil change. The vehicle was ready for me within 20 to 30 minutes and I was able to take care of the payment and leave.

I have had my vehicle in for other repairs on numerous occasions in the last year or so and have always been pleased with the courtesy shown by the employees and the wonderful work that they do. I feel that they are very trustworthy and have never steered me wrong on the work that they have done. In fact I have made arrangements to have another job done on a minor item within the next week or two.
Courtesy by the employees is something that has always impressed me about this place. We need more companies like this one who try to make their customers happy. Happy customers means more business. Will continue to recommend them to other people.

I had bought a used Ford F-150 from a reputable local dealer, but within two months it started running really badly. It kept going into an overhating scenario and "limp" mode and spewing coolant out of the coolant tank. Limped to a nearby Ford dealer who installed a new thermostat. Drove off and immediately went into limp mode again. Dealer then installed several new ignition coils. After a third return to dealer we noticed coolant odors and steam coming from tail pipe. The new diagnosis - blown head gaskets or worse. Dealer wanted $3400 to do a quick repair of gaskets with advice to get rid of truck or $7000 for a remanufactured engine. Even though this was a beautiful truck (pristine in every way but the engine) I couldn't see spending $7000 on the engine. So I limped home and called around for rebuild prices (~$4000 or so).
On an impluse I called Charlie Clay at AAMCO for advice and to my surprise Charlie said he'd help me out. I'd had tranny work done by Charlie and his guys but didn't know he was doing full service auto repair. In short, Charlie located a low milage engine through one of his contacts and gave me the details so I could purchase the engine over the phone and have it shipped straight to AAMCO. I would never have had the guts to do a deal like that if wasn't for Charlie Clay's reputation as a real standup guy. Charlie's guys went throught the engine to make sure I got what I paid for and installed it in no time. They also replaced any suspect parts in the cooling and ignition systems. The truck runs great and I'm no longer leary of driving it anywhere. I've taken it all over the southeast including LA, MS, AL, FL, GA, AR, and TX with no qualms and getting 17-20 mpg.
I couldn't be happier with the way this all worked out. I'll definitely be taking my vehicles back to Charlie Clay's AAMCO for all my maintenance/repair needs.

First off free towing and initial diagnostic. I am very satisfied with the work done. There are many factors to this rebuild to consider. It did take longer than expected, but the entire wiring had to be traced back to find a short. It did cost more than the estimate, but the computer had been shorted out and they only asked for the cost of the part not the extra labor to replace and diagnose. The car now runs like a dream and I have a nationwide warranty to boot. My largest complaint was that they didn't call to let me know the status of the rebuild, I had to contact them. In their defense though, once they figured the whole problem out and were making headway I received an immediate call to give me a new estimate of completion time, which was right on. Even with the extra money spent I feel I got more than my money's worth.
