Victor came to our home and explained that the ice maker problem could be repaired with a silicone sealant. He had the sealant with him and proceeded to take apart the ice maker, remove all ice on the motor and other parts, dry them completely, and put all the parts back together. He said to wait 5 or 6 hours for ice to be made, and that it should then work fine. He was correct. The seal stopped excess air from entering the ice maker box, and the problem was solved.
