A+ Plumbing

Since a bid from several plumbers is not feasible on this sort of problem, I called A+ since I had used them several years before and they had done a good job at a reasonable price. ( About 6 man-hours to repair water supply line for $250) After about 10 man-hours and $100 for parts, I was charged over $1500. I can only assume that the job was done right since it is covered over with dirt. However, at a man-hour rate of $140 you can bet I will NOT being using their services again!

In March 2015 we had a plumbing check done by Will Fix It.  They told me that the water pressure coming in to the house was too high and this would result in damage to our plumbing and appliances.  They offered to install a pressure regulator (located where city water enters) for about $800.  That seemed like a really high price to me.  I don't recall how I got the name of A+ plumbing.  Their price was $395 so I had them do it.  
Fast forward about a year.  We were having a problem with the sprinkler system so we got the excellent and very experienced guy that we've worked with in the past (Paul Broussard) to come out.  He checked the pressure in our system and got a reading of 98, way higher than the recommended (less than 80.)  He also explained that, sadly, these pressure regulators typically last only 2-5 years.  (Apparently there are commercial grade ones but they are extremely expensive.)
I called A+ plumbing and complained that the part had failed and asked if there is a 1 year warranty.  They said the warranty was only 60 days but they'd send someone out.  Two nice guys came out and check the water pressure and confirmed that it wasn't working.  When they examined the part they realized that it was a low quality one made with plastic (normally costs about $295 installed ballpark.)  The guy that installed it in 2015 (name not on work summary) had not explained that there were two types, two prices, etc.  He just put this one in.  I didn't know any better, and apparently paid the higher price for the lower quality part.  So that's the bad part of the story and why I didn't give the an A rating.
The good part of the story is that these guys explained it all to me (transparent) and made good on it at no charge.  They installed a new one made with brass rather than plastic.  Hopefully this one will last longer.

Mr. Reyes and his technicians responded in a timely manner and immediately began working on diagnosing the problem. I felt very comfortable with both technicians. I was kept well informed throughout the process on what repairs were imminent and worst and best case scenarios.  My overall experience was A +.  I would definitely recommend their services to anyone searching for an honest deal and will continue to use their services.
