. This project was to take a max of 120 days and was to be done while we were still living in the house.At this point, the two rooms have been added, but no work counters in the craft roomm and no vanity or linen closet in the new bath. The new heat pump/airconditioning unit is installed. The outdoor lighting has been put in place. The fans are installed and working on the new patio. No work in the kitchen, 2nd bathroom or other rooms of the house,such as the living room, kitchen or garage. Promises and lies are all we have gotten for the last two years. He hasn't even answered his phone for the last year and he has no business address as such Approximately eight months ago he had a "sea crate" dropped on the driveway to store the household contents in while he began the kitchen and bedroom work. The final straw was when we discovered he wasn't paying the business the storage pod belonged and they were going to pick it up because he had not answered or responded to their calls either. They didn't know it was a'third party rental'. Fortunately we were allowed to remove our stuff before they picked it up. So we emptied our stuff out and the pod is gone and now our garage is full of boxes. I first talked to a lawyer who sent a registered letter which Mr McCool never responded to. We then filed a writ with the local court and he never responded to that. A hearing date was set and on the day of the hearing he did not show up, so a judgement was filed against him for return of the entire amount plus legal fees. At this point he has not responded to any overtures and he has until the end of October 2009 to do so. He is liscensed by the city of San Angelo, TX (# 1637) and the State of Texas (# 78754). His references were excellent, the work we looked at was rated above average. The work he has completed on the house has been judged good to excellent. Everything has been inspected and passed by the local permits office. Everytheing Mr. McCool did from the beginning was done properly, but some where things went wrong and I now regret ever having hired hm. I wouldn't recomend him to anyone for anything. We are going to have to find someone who will finish a job that someone else has started.
