J B Automotive is a place I will highly recommend for their technical capability, their courtesy, and their willingness to help in an emergency. Our Chevy pickup lost a valve lifter while traveling to San Angelo from Lubbock. We were stuck in San Angelo and J B Automotive was recommended to us by another shop and Jess and his crew found the problem and fixed the valve lifter and burnt valve in a short period of time. I recommend this shop to anyone, they were straight forward with us in explaining the problem and provided excellent service. Thank you J B Automotive.

Fantastic! Although its hard sometimes to get through via phone, its just because they're so very busy. The owner (Jess) and all of his employees are very nice and so friendly. In addition they are all very knowledgeable. I’ve been using JB Automotive for years.
I made an appointment via phone last week. I could have been seen earlier but my work schedule would not allow for that.
I dropped the vehicle off at the shop at 8:05a. I was provided a ride to work across town and arrived before 8:30a.
Got a call at lunch saying the vehicle was ready to go and was offered a ride back to the shop.
I just love these guys! Not only do they take care for my vehicle at great prices but they genuinely care about their customers.
Can't brag on them enough!

They did a very good job of fixing our Navigator, and were not to overly expensive for the work performed. I would recommend them.

About 4 months ago the check engine light came back on, and when we had the code checked it indicated the same problem had reoccurred. I had in the meantime found a Master Mechanic out of Ford who took the vehicle in and checked everything that they were supposed to the first time. He was amazed that the vehicle was running at all. It seems that through oversight or error JBA did not check everything they said they did. I had requested that all that was wrong with the vehicle be fixed if it needed it, and they apparently did not check the sparkplugs. The sparkplugs are supposed to have an electrode that bends out over the main electrode to supply a spark gap. Somehow this vehicle was still running with no electrode far enough out to supply the correct gap. I know this could not have occurred in the 5 or 6 months that passed. Not without some serious damage to the valves and pistons, the type of heat necessary to burn off the electrode would burn the valves and pistons. Also when looking at the spark plugs that were removed the original dab of paint that the factory puts on the sparkplugs to ID them as original equipment was still there.
I do not know the reason that I was told that everything had been checked when something like that had been overlooked, but it was. The other hoses PCV valve and such had been replaced as said, and that was all in good shape I just don't understand the concept of not checking the plugs. I was also told that the sealant on the injectors was unbroken so that injector tests were not done to eliminate that potential problem. I had expected a tune up, but I may not have made myself clear.
I know I won't use them again, but I may just be the unlucky one who slipped through the cracks in their service, so I cannot recommend that others not use them, they were professional (to a point) and very punctual and friendly.

I have always been very, very pleased with all the work done by JB Auto. I would recommend them to anyone for any repairs they need on their vehicle.

I was trying to get help/service for my father when he needed repairs for a truck but the service place never called him back.

The Ford dealership wanted an estimated $450 to fix the transmission leak and tune up my 2001 Ford Pickup. I took it to JB Automotive and they offered to do the repairs for $200 and they did not know how much the dealership was going to charge me.
I am extremely satisfied with the work, the cost and the integrity of JB Automotive. I have recommended several of my friends to them.

It took a while to figure out the problem, but JB automotive persisted until it was determined that my AC compressor had gone bad, even though it did give indications that it may have been functioning. They were able to replace the compressor at a good price. Vehicle AC has operated correctly since that time. I have used JB automotive for at least 15 years and they have always been able to fix my vehicles at a fair price. If the repair work has any problems, they will (usually) correct the problem with no other charges. They recently moved to a new location that makes their service experience even better. My only problem with JB Automotive is that they are in demand and that occasionally makes it hard to get the vehicle in for service, but if you have an emergency with your vehicle, they will try to help you get back on the road quickly.

They are very nice. They were recommended to me, and I have been here several times.

The sunroof in my 2002 Camry made a crunching sound while closing so I scheduled a visit to JB. They determined that the repair would be best made by the Toyota dealership. They managed to close the sunroof completely to prevent any possible water damage. There was no charge for the work that they did on the sunroof. They removed the aftermarket wired-in hands free phone system for a minimal charge.
