GOMEZ BOOKKEEPING & TAX SVC

Our experience with Gomez Bookeeping was very unsatisfactory.  We took our tax information to his office at the end of February 2011.  His office would have over 6 weeks to prepare our taxes for us. His office called a few times requesting information from us, which we provided to them, so we assumed they were working h****** our behalf, and doing their best job to ensure the refund we were expecting would be a good one.  The final week taxes were due, I sent my parents in to Gomez Bookeeping to pick up my taxes, so we could file and see what kind of refund we would be getting.  They were informed that our taxes were not ready, but no worries, they will be done by tax day and efiled. I called April 15th, they were still not done, but they assured me the  taxes would be done by the following Monday, which was the last day to file.  On that Monday, I called again, and was informed this time, that my taxes were still not done and they would file and extension on our behalf.  WHAT!???? I was upset at this stage, we were expecting a refund, and depending on it to pay our daughters college tuition with.  We gave Gomez another 2 weeks, as they said that our taxes would be done by then, and another two weeks.  They never did even attempt to do our taxes, my son finally had to go pick our our tax info and I am in the process now of doing them myself. In my experience with Gomez Bookeeping, I found them to be untrustworthy, careless, and very unprofessional.  I will not be recommending this company to anyone in the future.
