Service was excellent. Showed up as scheduled. Cost was within the estimate over the phone; it was actually slightly lower than quote. The gentlemen called to confirm we were home shortly before arriving. He rekeyed all of our locks to the same key, and provided multiple copies of the new key on-the-spot. While unable to change the lock on our garage door (due to proprietary lock mechanisms), he did provide information on how to do that through garage door companies, with detailed directions to a local one, even showing me how to do it myself. Courteous, prompt, and professional service!

They are reliable and trustworthy -- the business hours are the only drawback since they aren't open on weekends and close early during the week. However, it is definitely worth knowing a reliable family company has worked on your locks and security rather than a transient employee at a big box shop.

I contacted Dix Key Shop for an estimate of the costs to change the cylinders in all the locks and provide keys. The estimate was reasonable and included a flat trip fee for coming to my home, plus a charge for each cylinder and each key. I could count the locks and come up with a reasonably precise cost for the service. The person who scheduled the service was polite and professional, and gave me an estimated time that the locksmith would be at my home. Approximately two hours later I received a call and the locksmith said he could come immediately. I agreed.

The locksmith arrived promptly and replaced the cylinders in the locks as requested. He was very polite and professional and completed the work in a timely manner. The cost was exactly what I had estimated, plus tax. He instructed me to call him if I had any problems or questions.
