Drops on external walls are not easy but I so they dropped it via the eve and ran it down the wall. Then they went through an existing hole, which was very tight, and drilled a hole in the cable cover plate to run it through. It just didn't look good with a blue wire running down the wall. The next day I moved the wire through it's on hole and installed a professional receptacle and painted the wire. Yes, it worked but it could have been better.
