covered by insurance (plus my deductible). They may be more expensive that other good repair shops. Once I needed something minor fixed and they did it for free without checking to see if I had been a customer. Iwould go back. I did not rate price because I had insurance coverage and I don't remember the total cost of any repair.
I will continue to use them as necessary.
At the end of the entire thing, my insurance decided to total out the vehicle. We had went to Buskers before with good results but after this 20 day nightmare, we won't be back.
"Our records show that we had done two other repairs for (Member name removed). Sorry we struck out on the third. Our estimates are based on the damage that we can see. It is not unusual to find additional damage once the damaged parts are removed. We have 3 estimators on staff, generally estimates are up loaded to the insurance companies within a few days. Once they are up loaded to the insurance company It is up to them to decide if they want to total the vehicle or repair it. They make their decision based on several things not on, cost of repairs only. It is not unusual for insurance companies to be slow about making this decision. If this is the case we can do nothing but continue to call and wait on them. Sorry for the dissatisfaction. We will strive to do better."
"Apr, 2013 We are sorry we did not meet [member name removed] expectations. A deductable is the amount of money the insured is willing to pay for repairs before the insurance starts paying. The insured pays his deductable amount and the insurance company pays the balance. Once repairs are completed and the insurance agrees to the final bill, they issue a check. So yes the insurance check plus the deductable amount will be the cost of repairs. There are 4 levels of parts used in repairs. OEM (parts made by the manufacturer of the vehicle, most expensive) Imitation parts (parts made by independent companies, cheaper than OEM) Remanufactured parts (parts from damaged vehicles that have been repaired, cheaper than OEM) Used parts (parts from totaled vehicles that are not damaged, cheaper than OEM) Body Shops and Body Shop Associations have fought the Insurance Companies for years about the poor quality and fit of non OEM parts to no avail. Most Insurance Companies will only pay for the cheaper parts. These cheaper parts often cause delays in repairs. If these cheaper parts are used they are noted on the estimate and final bill. Neither the Insurance company or the customer, ARE NOT charged for an OEM part and than a cheaper aftermarket installed. We have too much to lose to run our business in this way. We have very little control over what price level of parts the Ins. Co. decides to pay for. Check with your company and ask what their stand is on these issues. Purchasing Rent Car coverage from the insurance company sometimes is a wise decision to cover one during unforseen delays in repairs. We are sorry for the time delays in repairing [member name removed] vehicle. Busker's Body Shop"
