Smooth and fast.

Area Appliance service came highly recommended from a number of friends and I would not hesitate to call them again. The problem was that they did not work on Samsung ovens--not the first appliance repair people to tell me that. However, he told me that up front during the phone conversation and there were no service calls or charges, plus he gave me some options to try over the phone. I hate to give a C, but there is really nothing to base service on, except his reputation, which is very good.

RUDY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, A BROKEN LID SWITCH. HE EXPLAINED HOW THE BROKEN SWITCH KEPT THE WASHER FROM ENTERING THE NEXT CYCLE. UPON FURTHER EXAMINATION OF THE MACHINE HE FOUND THAT THE AGITATOR GEARS WERE ALSO STRIPPED. HE GAVE US A FULL EXPLANATION OF WHAT WAS TO BE DONE AND SEVERAL WAYS THAT THE REPAIRS COULD BE ACCOMPLISHED AND THE COST OF EACH. AS HE TOOK THE WASHER APART TO REPAIR IT HE GAVE US A STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION OF WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WHY. RUDY WAS VERY POLITE/PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT. I THINK THAT WE HAVE FOUND A GO -TO PERSON FOR ALL OUR FUTURE APPLIANCE REPAIR NEEDS AND WOULD HEARTILY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDING APPLIANCE REPAIR.

Fixed my refrigerator at half the cost of any one else and sooner than anyone else.

It went great. He suggested that if possible next time to not bring him repair work on Monday as that normally is his busiest day.

Our fridge and freezer had stopped cooling and I called them to come out. They made a special time in their schedule so they could come out the same day. Before the scheduled appointment time the fridge and freezer started working again. I called them immediately to see if they thought they should still come out and check the unit. The owner explained it was probably just a stuck relay and it wasn't necessary for them to come. He cancelled my appointment without penalty. He was very helpful and professional. and

Unable to locate a repair shop (referrals by the store I bought the refrigerator from) that could come within 24 hrs. Went to "Angie's List" and found Area Appliance listed. Made call at 11am; Rudy said he could be out for sure the following morning. He got my information and what had happened to the fridge, and when he found that the food was spoiling he said he would try very hard to get to me that afternoon. Good to his word, Rudy called at 4pm and my fridge was up and running by 5pm. He also took a look at my upright freezer to get an estimate on what it would cost to install a new gasket. After looking at the freezer, he gave me some pointers that would take care of the problem (it wasn't the seal after all). Rudy explained step by step what was being done; showed me the old relay switch and compared it to the new one. He was a very kind, informative repairman. I will call Area Appliance for service and will be highly recommending the company to all my friends.

I called the company and two hours later, my refrigerator had been fixed! On a holiday, no less! No mess was left, excellent advice was given, and I will not hesitate to call this company again should another appliance need repair.
