ANGELO RV

We took our RV in for repair service on the generator and hot water heater. They did the generator service and it appears its working ok. However the water heater is another story. We told them the water was getting too hot so they charged us $115 labor plus parts to change the thermostat and didn't check it to see if it worked. They also inspected our camper and told us the roof needed to be replaced and pushed us to go through the insurance company and have it replaced instead of having it repaired. After we picked it up my husband went camping and the water heater didn't work. They told us they knew they were going to be getting it back for the roof work and could work on it again then if it was needed. They then told us it probably needed a new control module that is half the cost of a new water heater. We were selling our RV the next weekend so we agreed to let them change it to meet our timeline (they claimed there was no way to get the part, but just happened to have the new water heater). This caused us another $134 in labor charges + a $856 water heater. We felt like were being pushed into everything and that all they were interested in was gouging us for more money. When it was all said and done the service manager gave us incorrect information about the roof warranty. Several friends told us we shouldn't have taken our camper there...of course it was after it was already there. Would encourage others to take their RV elsewhere.
