This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with any company that’s ever serviced my home in any way. The owner (Chris) cares so much, that he won’t expand with multiple trucks. He can’t trust that anyone else will care as he does. He wants to do what’s best for the homeowner. If he can repair your existing system, he will. Northern Air is a business you can trust!

100%, I won't use any other heating and air company. Always on time, keeps my AC running smooth and cool in the TX heat.

Chris is fantastic. Hands down the best AC man in DFW. Chris is prompt, works fast, is professional and his prices are literally 40% lower than the other more well known ac companies. Chris always installs high quality Trane components. He has changed out multiple systems both in my Plano home and now my Dallas home. He has come out several times to fix minor issues and not even charged me. I don't know why anyone would use another ac service.

Chris at Northern Air has been my heating and A/C guy for the past 8 years.  He has proven himself to be extremely competent and very honest.  His prices have always been on the reasonable side.  On 01/14/15 I called Northern Air because my furnace was making loud whooshing and popping noises.  Chris was ahead of schedule so he arrived 2 hours before he was due.  They did call first to make sure this was OK.  He found that the circuit board on the furnace was malfunctioning, causing the furnace to constantly turn on and off.  The noises were due to flames shooting out of the furnace.  He said it would cost $600.00 to replace the board.  I didn't want to spend this much to fix a 21 year old furnace so I decided to get a new Trane furnace for which he quoted me a total price of $2786.00 installed, which I know to be very reasonable.
This was on Wednesday and he said he couldn't install it until the following Monday.  My old furnace was in a very dangerous state and had to be kept shut off.  I told him I couldn't go 4 days in the middle of January without heat.  He consulted with his office and they were able to re-arrange their Thursday schedule so he could install it the next afternoon.  They showed up a 1/2 hour late because they stopped for lunch first.  The office did call and let me know.  I cannot ding them for punctuality because they re-arranged their whole schedule for me.
It took Chris and a helper about 3 hours to remove the old furnace and install the new one.  The new furnace has been working great for the past 4 days and, as usual, I am very happy with this whole experience.

All of the above repairs made my A/C system work like new. This is the 3rd time I have used Northern Air and I always ask for Chris. He is very smart and honest and always does excellent work at a fair price. Needless to say, he's always extremely busy. The first 2 times I used Northern Air was long before I became an Angie's List member, so this is my first review of them. The first time Chris came here was after another company quoted me a price of $786 for a blower motor that they said was dead along with the capacitor. I knew that electric motors don't cost anywhere near $786 and I told them so. I then called Northern Air and they sent Chris out for the first time. Chris removed the blower motor and took it out on my front lawn and replaced the capacitor. The motor started blowing like a hurricane so it wasn't dead as the other company told me. Even though it worked, the shaft on the motor was loose and it was old and worn so I had Chris replace both the motor and capacitor for which he charged $345. A far cry from the $786 the other company wanted to charge just for the motor. This is what leads me to say Chris is honest and charges a fair price. I will continue to use Northern Air as they have proven to me that they can be trusted to keep my air conditioner working properly, which is a top priority when you live here in Texas.

I called Northern AC about my system not cooling. I was given some advice over the phone to try. When that didn't work I called back and Chris arrived w/i 30 minutes. We analyzed the problem and got the AC running again. All w/i an hour and for $60. Great response and professionalism!! Especially since it was 5 pm when I initially called.
Chris left and about 10 minutes later my renter down the street called and said her AC went out. I called Chris and he quickly returned and got that system running, and w/o an after hours charge!
I will use his company for all my AC needs in the future!

The howowners warranty service refused to fix a problem. Chris was extremely professional and came out and did an excelent job that took less time than the previous service company did. They are aweome and we will be using their services for replacements this year.

My heater went out during one night toward the end of that really cold weather we had in mid-January. I called Northern Air in the morning a little after 8:00 am and they were able to schedule me from 10:00 - 11:00 that morning. They showed up about 10:30 or so. They replaced the blower motor and got the heater back up and running shortly after 11:00. I've had them out a couple of times before and have always been happy with their work.

They were very responsive and punctual. When the condenser quit working during a heat wave, Northern Air was able to come out when some of the larger companies were booked. That was our motivation to use them.

They explained everything thoroughly, and in a respectful way. They also went beyond what I was expecting them to do. They were very efficient.
