Cabinet Making
Ryan is amazing, if you feel that being manipulated into giving him $30K dollars and then having to beg for your cabinets is amazing. His excuses are Oscar worthy. The amount of effort he uses to come up with excuses is impeccable, well thought out and executed. He will come across as a super nice guy and make you feel all happy inside that you are going to have this wonderful amazing home.. and then BAM! You call him out on BS and he isn't so nice anymore. Wanna know how he pays for all his fancy equipment? He gets you to give 90% of the money up front before he ever even puts a board in your house and then he will have a million excuses why he can't be there to actually install them. Check his website under FAQ if you don't believe me that you will give almost all the money up front before he does anything. You will never see your cabinets look more.... well, you will probably just never see your cabinets. When his untruths start catching up with him, you will get a plethora of excuses. His daughter is sick, has jujitsu, needs to do homework that no other 7 year old has to do. His wifes car will break down and it takes a whole day to tow it, he has a heart condition (that only rears its ugly head when he starts getting stressed.. about not finishing the job). His wife will have a birthday, so will his daughter, he has to visit his ailing grandmother. Or the best one is that he is working on your project in the shop and just because he isn't at your house doesn't mean he isn't working (but he never brings anything he says he is working on). He sent us an email explaining all his lies were "to buy him time to catch up on the things he said he had finished but didn't" yet he still didn't finish or catch up. I have 6 typed pages of his excuses (dates/times) and he still thinks he is being an honest businessman. We hired him in September 2019. We closed on our house May 8th with unfinished cabinets (and we are not the first ones that he did this to). He was supposed to do our kitchen, laundry, dog room, and three bathrooms. Only our powderbath is complete. Every other room is a disaster with most cabinets unusable. You can't open drawers, we don't have shelves or pullouts and he didn't leave enough room for our washer and dryer. For two weeks after we closed, he promised to be there every day to finish. SO my BF took off work. Guess what?? He no-showed each day. Some days not responding to us at all. He did leave his empty trailer in our driveway which was blocking everything (for a week) and didn't come get it until we told him to get it off our property. Then he went to work on another job (that had been trying to get him to finish for almost a year) and promised to bring us material we paid for and finish as soon as he was done at their house. Well, he never brought the material and each day he promised to be at the house, he no-showed. So after another week of no-shows, my BF went to his shop to ask him why he wasn't working on our house (he finished the other house). He called me a "B" and told my BF to get out of his shop. So we told him we would see him in court. It wasn't until after the sheriff's department called him regarding the material of ours that he refuses to return did he TRY to backpedal and say he would come finish. He will tell anyone who calls him out that he TRIED to come finish. But to try, you actually have to show up and he never would. I've posted pictures of the disaster he left us with. The majority of our cabinets are unusable. This is a brand new home and we can't even use our cabinets. It is embarrassing. He swore (via text and email) he was getting out of the install business yet that is his whole focus now. If he thinks that lying, never showing up, wasting customers time, and building unusable cabinets constitutes quality work, then consider this your warning. Hire at your own risk. Please PM me if you want more detail, copies of all the proof. I'm happy to share my wonderful experience with anyone who needs to see if. If I can help one less person be his victim, I will gladly do it.
