Charlie was very knowledgeable, and was great at explaining things I didn't understand, and in discussing the merits of various shingle options.  When he felt that the insurance company had not adequately evaluated the damage to the roof, he contacted the insurance agent, explained where he thought their estimate was deficient, and the insurance agent agreed to pay for the revised estimate.  The damage to the fascia boards was discovered during the repair process.  As it wasn't directly related to the hail storm, insurance would not cover these repairs.  Charlie's estimate for these repairs was very reasonable and the result was great.
  My house was being renovated at the same time as the roof repair.  At one point I noticed that a board in my back deck had fallen through - I was pretty sure the renovation contractor was the one who had caused the problem because of when I found it, but they wre reluctant to do anything about it.  I showed it to Charlie and told him I didn't think his crew was responsible.  Nonetheless, he came back on his own time and repaired it for me at no extra cost.
