SCHRADE PLUMBING

The tank they installed was too big for the cabinet in the garage, so the door to the cabinet cannot close. They didn't offer to remedy this situation at all. A day or so after installation, the water heater wasn't working. I figured out how to re-light the pilot and get it working again after calling Shrade to report the problem and being told that I would be charged another $100 for the plumbers to come back out and fix the problem. No thanks.

Installation went well on April 5, 2019. For the past few days, the water heater stopped heating water so I called Schrade Plumbing yesterday and learned that the tank and parts are warrantied for a year, but there is only a 30 day warranty on labor, and to have Schrade come out and find out what the heck is wrong with this NEW water heater would cost me (the lady on the phone was insistent) $30 service fee plus $100 per hour labor with a minimum of one hour, so $130 to come out and repair a water heater they installed new less than four months ago! I wouldn't let these people do any kind of work for me ever again!

I feel like the price was reasonable. Nobody works for cheap. I was pleased. They cleaned up after themselves. They gave me feedback. Two people did the work.

The repair was done quickly and at at a great price.

I paid just the service fee , I didn't let them complete the work. The pricing was okay.

Initially I only wanted an outside hose bibb replaced. The valve seat was
damaged and would tear up any rubber washers I put in there, and the
bibb would not entirely shut off. I was hoping that when the plumbers
accessed the bibb line inside the wall, that they would also find the
source of a water leak in or under the slab. They broke through about one foot of solid concrete, replaced the bibb  and a section of damaged copper line. After the work was finished, they put me in contact with an experienced retired stone mason would repaired, who did a professional job restoring the brick veneer around the hose bibb itself.
  
   Some things to do:
      Keep any critters confined to a different room so you can prop outside doors open.
     Have the work area exposed and prepared for easy access.
A single don't:
     Check on how the repairs are going, but don't over-do it. This company has developed a complete pricing guide for a wide range and mix of specific plumbing repairs and upgrades. The different teams they send out are efficient ; they work quickly and will keep you informed. Very professional.

The repairman came when scheduled, did efficient work, and was very polite. He cleaned up after himself and removed all trash. We were pleased with the work.

Every time I have needed a plumber in this house, they have given me a realistic time frame, showed up on time (usually early), and gotten the job done when they said.  Prices are reasonable, and when an estimate was required, it has always dovetailed with the final charge.  I completely trust them to be realistic with me about what is needed and what it will cost, and I know that when they are finished I will have quality repairs.

The person was polite and on time. Did a good job replacing the old faucet but the filler material he put in the hole where the faucet comes through the brick was incomplete leaving a hole where rain, etc could get in. I did not contact Schrade I re-patched it myself. I don't recall the exact service date but I think it was 2012.

I expected to pay much more and they could have easily swayed the procedure to be much more expensive.  The lead plumber made a comment that rang true to me and clearly states how admirable their customer service is....he said, "when you call me, YOU have a problem;  when I arrive it becomes MY problem until I correct it!"  I was flabbergasted.  I will definitely recommend them and use them again and asked for 2 business cards!

They did a very good job. It could have been really expensive. Actually, I had it quoted with a couple of people and they were about a third of the cost. The cost was about $1,200 and the other quotes were in the $4,000 range. I would highly recommend them. The city actually came out, inspected it, and approved the job. There were no issues. They said it was up-to-code. The quality was very good. It lasted as long as we were in the house. They came out within an hour of calling them. Everybody else wanted a couple of days. They did everything they said they would as far as timing and scope of work. Their professionalism was good.

Cold water valve on lavatory faucet had siezed and could not be turned on. Investigated for do it yourself project and determined it was 2 man job so I needed to find a plumber. Checked Angie's list and found several with good reviews in Rowlett area. Selected Schrade Plumbing (Schrade family one of the original settlers in Rowlett area).
Called to schedule for service. Young lady to whom I spoke was very courteous and scheduled a "first thing tomorrow appointment as requested explaining "first thing" would be a 2 hour window between 8:00A.M. and 10:00A.M. She additionally requested information about the plumbing problem I was experiencing.
At approximately 8:15 A.M. the following morning I received a phone call from Gary with Schrade confirming I was available for him make the service call. He and his helper arrived in approximately 15 minutes and proceded with the repair. Removal of the siezed faucet stem proved difficult and after it was removed it was determined replacement would be necessary. A trip to the "shop" was necesary to acquire a new stem for the 35 year old faucet. On return in approximately 30 minutes the cold water valve stem as well as  the hot water valve stem were replaced.
The work was completed promptly and he cleaned up the area afterward. Charges were based on an hourly rate which was reasonable by today's standards.

I had blockage somewhere in my plumbing that was causing all drains to back up. They cleaned out all the lines and unfortunately they were unable to unclog the main line. They had determined the blockage was in the alley therefore the city would have to unclog it. City of Garland unclogged it and all was well. Schrade's diagnosis was correct. They were on time and very professional. I would definitely use them again!

All of my plumbing is up to par because of Schrade Plumbing.  They are punctual, the work is good quality, and their employees are courteous and polite.

They did great work.  They just come out and give you a price.  They don’t try and up sell you anything like how some other plumbers do.  They are pretty honest.  They come out and give a fair assessment.  I will use their services again in the future.

Schrade was able to come in and totally reseat the toilet in the master bath plus replace innards of the toilet in a matter of a couple of hours. They were quick, clean, courteous and charged precisely what they had said they would, cleaned up after themselves and it's like having a new toilet!
