Roberts Service Company

It was and still is a nightmare. Using this company was entirely the worst mistake we have made. We paid $13,000 for a new Trane AC system less than a year ago. The first time we turned on the heat it never worked correctly after replacing different parts repeatedly and the thermostat multiple times they finally replaced the whole system in May at no charge. Since then the fan has been replaced after seizing up, and it makes the worst sound you've ever heard. Loud enough to wake you up at night. Between Roberts service company aka BC Mechanical, we have placed 70 phone calls to them and Trane since the install of this unit. They've missed appointments repeatedly and said we "slipped through the cracks". They've promised to replace and redo things they haven't done. At this point we have water leaking in our attic onto the sheetrock, an exposed wire hanging out of the side vent of our attic to the outside unit that they were going to fix after Memorial Day when it "wasn't so hot." There is one pipe with a rag stuffed in it and at this time I'm pretty sure we are getting more air into our attic than the house. There is duct tape on both of the units they installed that is literally flapping with the force of the air seeping into the attic. Darrell was standing outside and heard the awful sound being made by the unit and we have not heard a word from him since. He has received positive reviews from other customers, and at first, he tried to fix ours, but I guess it was just too complicated, so he left us high and dry. We haven't heard from him in a couple of months and after almost a year and a total replacement, we still don't have a working AC. I guess he's okay until something goes wrong and then you can expect to never hear from him again. So I say take your chances and hope for the best if you use them. I've begun to use Roberts for all my HVAC service ( seasonal tune ups, repairs, etc).  I called them for a drain back up, and they were on time, and quite efficient...had it fixed in no time.  Reasonably priced, doesn't try to sell you something you don't need.

My A/C compressor went out on what was so far the hottest day of the year. It was covered by my homebuyers warranty but I was not impressed with the company they sent out to complete the work. To have an efficient system, I was considering replacing the whole system and not only the compressor. The warranty company's quote was $6,000 so I called Robert (who I had used in the past). He came out the next day, went over my options and even talked about making the airflow better in the house by replacing ductwork in the attic we knew to be broken. The quote for a new system and the new ductwork came to $5,400. Robert's crew was out within a few days to do the work and I could not be happier! Everyone I have worked with was knowledgable, friendly and professional. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Robert's!

Called to say they were about 15 minutes late. Took less than an hour to install the thermostat and get it on the wi-fi network and put the
app on my smart phone. All in all a good experience. will use again.

John Roberts is very friendly, but never does what he promises. Our general contractor hired him to install our HVAC in our new home. We had ordered a two stage unit, but he made a mistake and a single stage arrived. He persuaded us to accept it. After we moved in, a sewage/sulpher smell filled our master bath, and we called the plumber. He advised the HVAC condensation line was run to the lavatory there, and that was the problem. He should have installed a P-trap. I called Roberts, who promised to fix it and delayed for many months. Finally he came and disconnected it, promising to return and do it right. Finally he did, but the smell returned in the other sink. He disconnected that and ran the lines our the roof soffits, saying he would return and do it right. He has promised three times for the last three months, and has not returned. We have condensation pouring onto our windows. He won't return calls. His voice mail is full. (Update, 6/23/10) I submitted a report last month. John called to apologize and asked if he could come out and fix the problem. I agreed, but explained I was traveling, and my daughter would let him in. He called my daughter, was very friendly, set a time for the next morning. She waited all morning. Stood her up. Never called. He's done this to us repeatedly. Pathological.

Derrell was great and very attentive. I had three other bids and this company's regular price beat those other bids by anywhere from $1200 to $4000!! Derrell not only sold me the system but was out here with two other guys installing it and it took them all day to replace the unit in the attic and the outdoor unit. I can't say enough good things about these people. They did a great job, were super nice and the price was outstanding compared to the other bids I got. RHEEM is very good equipment. The air quality is great. Heat pump saves a ton of electricity and is so much nicer than forced hot air heat.
