Rick's Tree Service

Rick did a great job grinding the stumps. He took his time and ground the stumps a good 6" below the surface. After he was done, he filled back in the holes with the "mulch". We would definitely hire him again.

Rick visited the site and gave us a written estimate. His price was less than 1/2 the competition. He returned when promised, stayed with his 2 workers, shredded all the branches with professional grade equipment and returned to grind the stumps the next day. Very personal and cleaned up very well.

Came out and gave me an estimate first and fit me into the schedule within the week. They were so professional and pleasant and did a fantastic job on all the trees and took all the trimmings with them. Everything looked great when they left.

We hated to remove the trees, but we were experiencing foundation problems, and a structural engineer recommended the removals. Rick and one worker showed up one morning, cut the Live Oak tree first, beginning with climbing up into the tree and removing it from the top down. Total safety at every step. Once the Live Oak tree was removed, the worker cut and removed two Crape Myrtle trees that were located in the front flower bed at the corners of our house. While the work was being done, Rick was shredding the limbs through the shredder behind his truck. The trunks were cut to firewood lengths and were hauled off. Rick offered me the option to keep the firewood, but we have gas fire logs, so didn't need the wood.
A period of about two or more weeks went by (because of bad weather) before Rick's worker came back to grind the stumps. The worker ground the Live Oak Stump to below ground level, and even spread all the wood shavings and sawdust as mulch in the flower beds and on the bare spots on the lawn. Unfortunately, this worker knew nothing about grinding the Crape Myrtle stumps, so that work was not done, but it isn't a big problem.
Rick also does lawn sprinkler and irrigation work, and I'm thinking about having him install a below ground drip irrigation system all the way around our house foundation.

Rick was available right away and gave me a reasonable bid. He provided excellent service within a timely manner and I was very satisfied with the work.

Rick and his crew took great care in safely removing the tree. They ran the branches through a chipper and into their truck. The stump was cut into pieces and the remaining stump was ground down. Before leaving, they cleaned up all of the debris from the yard and street. In less than two hours, they were done. Rick gave me suggestions on what types of trees I might consider if I choose to plant a new tree, which I greatly appreciated since I'm a fairly new homeowner and I'm still learning the landscaping ropes.

Rick was awesome! I had a Cedar Elm tree that had one of it's main branches split due to high wind. Rick came over within two days driving a huge truck (for storing wood chips) and a wood chipper attached behind. He took care of my issue and also trimmed up the whole tree. Very professional, courteous, and charged me a very reasonable price. He is also an expert in sprinkler systems. I will continue to use him for any tree or sprinkler issues.

Called on Saturday and he went out and gave us an estimate on the same day. Trimmed the trees on Tuesday and Wednesday. The look great and now the grass will grow under them! Very professional and reasonable. We will hire again.

We spied Rick doing some work for a neighbor, so we stopped and talked. He came to our house when he was finished with the neighbor's trees, gave us an estimate and set a time to start one week later. Rick showed up this morning ready to work, worked several hours by climbing up into the live oak tree and trimming the center limbs out to open the tree up, then raised the low-hanging limbs. The tree looks great now. Rick then proceeded to attend to the shumard red oak in the yard, raising low-hanging limbs. Finally Rick trimmed back some crepe myrtle bushes away from the house. Rick removed all the limbs, branches, even the leaves, ran them all through a chipper machine behind his truck, and left the yard looking great! He even offered free mulch, if we come to his house and help ourselves!
