Milestone came out the next day, explained the problem and the options. Repairing the unit would have been cheaper, but was two-thirds of what a new one cost. We opted for the new unit. Crew was there the next morning and worked from 7:30 until 5 in 100-plus degree temperature. I was impressed with the quality of the work and the professionalism. Milestone may be a little pricier than others, but in my case they were worth it.

My electrician, Rodney Rasmussen, was very professional, neat in appearance and business-like. He arrived during the time frame I was given. He appeared to be very competent and diligent and wasted no time. He explained what he was doing in terms I would understand. He was careful to cover his shoes every time he came into the house, removing the coverings when he needed to go outside. It was great to know that he is licensed, bonded and insured. I was very pleased and plan to use him again when the need arises.
Milestone did fail to contact me prior to Rodney's arrival with an exact time of arrival and they did not send me an e-mail with this information and his picture as they stated they would do. Thank you for taking good care my needs.

It took them a week to make the appt.  They arrived on time.  Rodney looked at the 5 lights and gave us an estimate of $1,543. to replace 5 florescent light ballasts.  I declined and paid the $69 inspection fee.  Next contractor gave me a price for the same work of $580.

I have used Milestone before so there is a built in comfort with them.  An underutilized marketing ploy are the technician photos in bluebonnet patches on the Milestone Facebook page.   It made my decision easy, call Milestone.
The appointment was easy to set  up.  The technician called prior to arriving and got to work immediately.  Pretty easy stuff for him.  He was quick and professional.  What more could one ask?  
Note:  For the non Texas readers, bluebonnets are the state flower of Texas.  When the bluebonnets bloom in Texas its a big deal.  People stop on the roadways to take photos of their kids, pets, whatever ...  I loved it when I saw the Milestone Electric facebook page with the techs in the bluebonnets.  Its good to see a company with a sense of humor.  Milestone does not let humor interfere with professional quality workmanship.

I had my AC serviced in the summer - see previous review. At the time, I signed up for the maintenance program knowing I wanted to have my furnace checked out when winter hit. I scheduled an appointment a couple weeks ago. Dynamic Service Solutions has merged with MileStone Electric. Ironically while the owner was here in the summer, we talked about that company, how companies secure other companies going out of business, their unforgettable jingle, etc..  He stated that they are known for being the best at what they do. So I wasn't too surprised when the next time I dialed that phone number on my mobile and the receiver answered Milestone Electric with the most welcoming message I have ever heard. Ray and Marco arrived within the time window scheduled and from what I can tell thoroughly checked out everything. Fortunately no urgent issues but did call out a few upgrades to consider. They took pictures, we then went back up into the attic so they could show me what the picture was and explain things a little better. They were thorough with everything I witnessed from checking and cleaning the filter area to furnace. They were nice, respectful, professional and engaging. They presented their security package service and costs that would add additional maintenance services but I did not in any way feel pressured. I get it - they are offering their services. I am very thankful for the integrity of businesses and people like this. Customer and fan for sure!

Their phone number was in my mobile from the original A/C vendor when the home was built. I called him three times before actually scheduling. I was trying to decide whether to use one of the closer vendors on Angies list or go with DSS. I knew if I put the number in my phone it was important. Because I was so impressed with the patience and helpfulness on the phone, I decided to take a chance. On one of the calls he walked me through some troubleshooting checks and after looking at a few things and hearing the sound he identified what he thought might be the issue. To cut to the point, I am very, very thankful I scheduled. He was here within more than a resonable amount of time considering there were other appointments before me. Very professional, soft spoken and honest - company branded vehicle and apparel.  The potential problem identified on the phone did in fact turn out to be the culprit. My unit is 5+ years old so I signed up for the maintenance plan to help keep it working a little longer.  They will come twice a year to check things out, no service fee and hopeful no more nights of 86 degree temp. The maintenance plan came up because I inquired about more work and confessing to my negligence on regular servicing. I am once again sitting in comfortable cool airconditioning!  Thank you Michael!)
