The siding and sliding door part of the job went very well.  At first we were very happy with this company.  The original estimate included building up the wall under the new window and painting it.  It was in the estimate that payment be made upon completion but since all that was left was to paint the interior of the wall they asked for payment saying "they had to hire a painter and pay him out of the total amount we paid".  Didn't seem like a big deal to us at the time.







However, it is now 6 weeks later.  We have made numerous phone calls, emails, and  faxed, and contacted the Better Business Bureau.  It took 2 weeks to get any response at all, and since that time several times they have said they were sending a painter over.  Several of those days we cancelled or changed other appointments and stayed home waiting...waiting...waiting. Even the owner, Joe Cookston call a few times and profusely apologized but it was obviously insincere.  Finally 2 painters have been here and it was decided that the wall had to be rebuilt, and then painted and told me he would definitely be here yesterday.  I even called him Sunday night to remind him and find out when to expect him. We thought we were getting somewhere, but again waited all day yesterday, and no painter.  Got a phone call from the general manager saying they were going to check up on that painter, still no painter, no call back.







We have given up on this company.  As it stands now they are more than UNRESPONSIVE and  INCOMPETENT BUT DISHONEST SINCE THEY HAVE FULL PAYMENT AND THE JOB IS NOT DONE!







The last thing the manager, Ramonne Mann said to us when the siding and windows were done was "let us know if you are not satisfied with anything".  What a joke of a company.  And they had the nerve to put a sign in our yard advertising them!

Excellent quality workmanship

I highly recommend this company for siding repair and gutter replacement. Having had bad experiences in the past with repair/ remodeling companies, I was initially skeptical. However, the sales manager, Ramonne Mann assured me that the work would be done right. Once the work began, I realized I had made the right choice. They went above and beyond to make sure I received a quality job by replacing each and every piece of damaged wood and siding. This company also replaced all the gutters and downspouts, and they painted the entire house. My house looks so beautiful now!  I've had so many compliments from all the neighbors. I plan to use this company again when it's time to replace my windows.

After Ramon came out and gave a bid we shopped around with several other companies. After a small amount of price talks we settle on a bigger package of windows. All windows in my house needed replaced. Ramon was not pushy nor did he give us a high bid. After we did our own resesearch we wanted a mid grade low e window we chose allside After the down payment a crew of 2 was called, billy and Dennis and they were prompt with measurements. After 3 weeks the windows were ready and both men started work. They were faily prompt and new their business trade. They took great care to keep areas clean and were almost perfect on the window extractions. There were only a few mishaps with drywall which they fixed and or replaced. Overall they were hard workers and did a good job given my houses framing issues. After the job was done we had a hard rain and my windows leaked. However with one call they were back out to recaulk and all was good so far.

The work initially started on March 9, 2010; but, the office glass door did not make it for this initial installation. Then, the estimated delivery date of the door was March 22 & I was given a time of 8:00 - 8:30 for the installer to show up. He never showed up so I called the main office number late in the morning, The person who answered said he would have the installer call me. I eventually got a call back from the installer telling me that "all the parts did not arrive with the new door." (Why did he not call & tell me about this delay/issue?) So, he told me that everything should be arriving and a new install date was set for Friday, March 26th. Again, Friday morning (March 26th) came/went and I called the main number and later eventally heard from the installer that the new door arrival was the "wrong color door." (Why did he not call & tell me about this delay?? I was at the house waiting all morning. So, a new door was ordered for an install date of March 31. The install finally occurred. Two of the floor to cealing windows they initally installed had to be replaced because of defects and the installer had to come back and clean some of the windows that they had left with glue (or something) and many fingerprints. Then, the first big rain in Dallas, I discovered that I had water leaking into the house on the railing track of the two glass sliding doors they installed. The installer came over and looked at things and said he would report back to the owner & someone would get back with me. Joe Cookston & Sons contacted another contractor to come by & check out the water situation. This company was outstanding (I will do another report on them). They reported back to Joe Cookston & Sons that they needed to do corrective work; but Cookston & Sons never contacted me back again. This new company, after learning that Cookston & Sons had never contacted me back to do the corrective work, came and corrected the problem. I paid Joe Cookston & Sons $17,399 for my window/door replacements and they were the absolute poorest in customer service and responsiveness to customer issues that I have ever dealt with. Their sales person, Rene, called me once after the door & window replacement issue was corrected and told me that "everything that could go wrong did go wrong with my project." No way could I recommend this company, Joe Cookston & Sons, Inc. to anyone.

Prompt start. Protracted finish. Arrived with non-functioning tool (bending brake.) Poorly installed doorbell, removed and discarded guttering, cigarette butts and litter left at work site. Otherwise, an adequate job.

WE WERE OVERALL VERY PLEASED WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYBODY. THERE ARE THREE FAMILIES ON OUR STREET THAT USED THEM AND AGREE THAT THEY ARE THE BEST.
